Which leader do you think has been the best at naming?

Firestar for sure. We got very creative names like Poppyfrost, Echosong, Leafdapple, Honeyfern and the like from him.
Bluestar's names were very "Traditional" (By that I mean -tail, -fur, and similar, seeming to use suffixes many folks deem part of their "Traditional name system") and while he followed that for a short while too, later on his names clearly got a bit more unique and wild. And then there's Bramblestar who has no idea what the frick he's doing and hasn't learned a thing in naming and isn't even close to as good as his predecessor in that department.. And I haven't seen much in the like of other clans outside SEs, even then, there's not much special to write home about with them either.
So yeah, def. Fireman.

And I remember when people used to complain about Firestar's names. Firestar has come up with some of the prettiest names in the series in my opinion. Bramblestar's names sound like someone who is trying so hard to be creative but coming off as stupid instead. Bramblestar's names are the equivalent to those parents who wanted to name their daughter Kaitlyn, but decided to use roman numerals instead of letters to be unique so it came out as KVIIIlyn

Leafstar obviously. There are no greater names than Billystorm and Harrybrook.

Firestar. His names were creative without going too far. And his names meant something more often than other leaders' names did. Even if that's due to ThunderClan being the main clan, it's still something to consider. For instance, we have: - Brambleclaw - named after the warrior his father could've been
- Brightheart/Briarlight - named for their optimism, spirit, and drive to continue living/do as much as they can for their clan
- Squirrelflight - named for her flighty/freedom-loving tendencies
- Lionblaze - named for his energy and drive
And the thing about all these (and Firestar's other) names is that they give you a picture of who the cat is and what they're like because the names themselves are more creative. Even though Bluestar was good at naming, her names were very standard or traditional. Many leaders tend to be this way. But as a result, the names can blend together/make the cats with those suffixes seem less special and different. So I do like the fact that Firestar usually finds a way to give most cats a unique or uncommon suffix that goes well with their prefix.
You'd think Bramblestar would've learned a thing or two from him in all the time he's been Firestar's deputy and after all the warrior ceremonies that he's seen him conduct. But alas, instead we're stuck with names like "Twigbranch" and "Snowbush."

Unpopular opinion, but Snowbush is a nice name. Twigtwig is pretty bad. Sparkpelt is...."okay". But I do agree that Firestar had better naming skills.

Firestar for sure, i love so many of the names he's chosen. Also, I really like Leafstar's names, she's come up with quite a few nice ones (Cloudmist, Fallowfern, Tinycloud...) she also respects that some of the daylight warriors of other cats wanted to keep their original names, which i think is neat, because there's no shame in the fact that they are/were kittypets. She was pretty creative given what she knew about naming and had to work with, seeing as SkyClan names are VERY non-traditional (Bellaleaf, Ebonyclaw, Bouncefire... those are good) Imo it made SkyClan unique with their strange names, but now instead of recycling prefixes the authors(or editors) are going insane and giving other Clan cats crazy names. Like if a skyclan cat named their kit Flipkit, id be like oh cute But seeing a thunderclan cat do it is like Hmm.

Tie between Firestar and Leafstar!
I agree with sylveon that you have to be really creative when it comes to SkyClan names and they turn out really cute and unique. SkyClan names are obviously strange but thats whats great about them, is that SkyClan definitely feels like a new, outsider clan because of it. Gives them their own flair and its nice. For Firestar, he's definitely the best in the four clans. He puts lots of thought into the names and it shows.
I like the idea that Leafstar actually learned how naming works from Firestar, like about how you need to put thought into the name and make it represent the cat somehow, and tries to follow in his footsteps. Bramblestar attempts to do so as well but ends up failing on many names.

I'll go with Leafstar. She's like a Twitter bot when it comes to naming.

Firestar’s pretty good at names.
Brambleclaw...he needs some more lessons, but he gave us Cherryfall and Fernsong, so I have to give him a tiny bit of credit.

Lol, I don't know why people think it's a bad name, cats have been named after plants plenty of times.
