Of all the POV characters, Thorn is probably my favorite. This is not because I dislike Fearless or Sky, but it is because Thorn is dealing with one of my favorite villains of all time: Stinger. I’ve always loved twist villains, but Stinger is by far one of the most well written twist villains I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading! Stinger succeeds in being so downright despicable yet so lovable, that even after the reveal, some part of me still trusted him! Unlike other twist villains, it is easy to see how his charm and charisma effects other members inside and outside of his troop. Every decision he makes seems well intentioned at the time, but as they stack up you see just how self serving and despicable these actions were! This is a villain who could be murdering you and still convince you that it’s for a good reason.
