Does anyone else have this? Misophonia is basically hatred of sound. When you hear a certain noise, you get angry and anxious. Im pretty sure I have it! I can't be anywhere around most people when they eat bc the noises are so disgusting! And when people are constantly tapping, kicking, rustling, rubbing, hitting whatever and making noise, I can't!! It just makes me so raging when I hear it. I always leave or snap at whoever is making the noise. Ifight all the time with people over it, even in my family. Some days I feel so on edge from it that I'll sit in my room alone so I don't have to hear any noises. I don't know what to do, its so weird! Kids I'm fine with, their noises don't bother me but other teenagers and adults...ohmy I cant handle it! Anyone else have this? Sorry for all the ranting. I guess I just needed to vent.

My sister has it. I always go into a different room to eat when she's around. My parents are less tolerant of her, though.

If I hear the words stink or stank I will immediately get angry. I just HATE the sounds of those words.

When the cats clawing on something, the sound makes me really upset and unhappy, and she usually does it when it's 7am when I'm going to sleep and my brother got no mans sky and one of the main menu sounds [if i remember right] really irritated me. I can't describe it, the sound just makes me feel god awful.

Yes, finally! Someone else with misophonia!
Mine is triggered by loud chewing / smacking and yawning. (Specifically loud yawning) I get so so anxious when people do this around me, sometimes it gets pretty bad and I get to the point where I either want to get violent or am on the verge of tears. I want to throw up when I hear those sounds, they literally make me sick.
My family gets really annoyed at me sometimes, but I honestly can't help it, and it can be really hard to cope y'know. They thought I was crazy before finding out it that was a legitimate disorder

I think I have it. It gets triggered when I hear my brother chew, grunt, sniff, breathe, that kind of thing. It's only my brother; I don't mind when anyone else does it, and yet, I can hardly be in the same room as him. Weird, but true.
Everyone thinks I'm a jerk when I refuse to go near him. Maybe I am. What they don't understand is that I have my reasons. If I can hear him, I'll start cringing, internally screaming, and I'd be forced to repress the urge to punch him in the face. I have to leave the room and calm down. Harsh, but again, true. :/

That...honestly might explain why I hate the sound of my sister's voice.
But, it's probably just SPD rearing it's ugly head.

I have two severely autistic brothers, so basically any repetitive noise puts me on edge. But the biggest trigger is people chewing food.

i don't believe i have that but i panic a lot when other people are eating and i'm not, like i get kind of hot my mind gets kind of messed up ?? like i feel like i need to yell at whoever's eating and my mind thinks that their doing it on purpose i usually grit my teeth and hold really tightly onto something , because i need to control myself I guess it doesn't bug me when I'm eating because I hear my own eating sounds and that's ok to me it actually hasn't bugged me in a whole THO , so ??

In response to OP, oh yes.
If something gets on my nerves I get a bit snappy and hateful. It's not something I'm very proud of. What makes it out of place for someone like me is that there is almost nothing else that can get me so riled up so quickly.

p sure i have it too
it's worse w sensory overload also
like if i hear someone eating when i'm not, or even just chewing gum, or like one of the dogs or cats being really loud when licking themselves, i'll get SO UPSET but then you pile on conversations with other people, the TV on, music if it's on, etc then i might scream or cry or lash out
it's a problem :')

It drives me up the wall! If possible, I migrate to another room like nope.

Smacking gum/food/lips, loud breathing noises, and nail clipping drives me up the wall. Any loud talking also drives me insane. But it's probably just the Aspergers.

That happens to me sometimes, where every little sound makes me want to kill everyone. I don't have it constantly though. I'm sorry to hear that you suffer from it.

I hate certain noises such as a cat clawing something. The nail on chalkboard, too.
