Snowpaw was carefully to read her mentor's mouth as he spoke. She was fairly sure she understood, giving him a nod. Despite this though, she still felt somewhat responsible.

(Yee)
Gracklefur poked his head out the den, he spotted the sisters sharing a mouse under the shade. He looked back at his apprentice, leaving the choice for her to come up to her. As the tom headed towards the two, Mothflutter noticed him first. She’d given the medicine a welcoming smile only for it to fade as she noticed the solemn look in his eye. Her claws curled into the dirt as he came over. “Mothflutter?” Ferretstrike eyed her before she too noticed Gracklefur. She narrowed her eyes once he stopped in front of the two, “What?” She tilted her head, “How’s our brother?” She asked before Gracklefur could speak. It was a rare occasion for Gracklefur to be the one to inform the kin of family death. He noticed the fearful look in Mothflutter’s eye, her ears dropped and she pressed against her sister, “How is he?” “...I’m sorry you two. But he just died. Snowpaw was with him, he wasn’t alone.” Ferretstrike stood up, a fury of anger and sadness pained her as she hissed, “You said he was getting better!” “I didn’t. I said he wasn’t getting worse.”

Snowpaw stayed back, choosing instead to maybe begin looking at herbs and such to prepare the tom's limp form.
Flameflicker entered with a rogue or two from a hunting trip, dropping the food off and turning to greet the two sister's when he watched Gracklefur approach. For a moment, he stood a bit idle as they spoke and at Ferretstrikes risen voice, he moved towards them. From the context, he could gather what had happened.

Jaggedtalon brushes his tail against her body. "We can handle it." He wouldn't mind watching over the kits as Slenderoak slept or went out to hunt. He looks back at Waspkit before looking back at his other two kits. "My parents would be proud of these kits." He muttered softly to himself.
~~~
Heathernose sighed as she laid on the ground. She was currently thinking about Nickle and Bluesmoke. Heathernose knew the toms were bad yet she couldn't help be drawn to them. Could they possibly be reformed? Sighing, she placed her head on her paws and wondered if she should just accept the rogues?
I’ve had such a long day. DX )
Gracklefur did his best to explain to the two how Smokeburr’s wound was too deep and already infected. Mothflutter kept her sister from lasting out at the tom until he finished, tears were streaming down her face as she listened. When he stopped, Ferretstrike took a deep breath and hissed, “Who gave him that wound? Which one of these rats did it?” “I don’t know Ferretstrike and I don’t suggest you go looking for trouble.”
Slenderoak nuzzled her mate, “Mine would be too. If my father were still alive, he’d already be telling him stories and trying to get them to open their eyes.” She smiled at the thought of him before she started to groom Viperkit, “Do you know when their eyes will open? I love how bright and curious they look.” She purred, touching noses with the kit.
Flameflicker frowned as he took a seat around the two sisters. He wasn't going to say anything, it wasn't his place to do so. He was here to support them both though, and to hold Ferretstrike back from getting herself killed too.
Ferretstrike continued snapping at the medicine cat who was growing irritated, “I bet you don’t even are that he’s dead! You know which one of these rogues did it!” “How about I give you a couple yew berries and you can ask him yourself?” Gracklefur growled. Mothflutter stood between the two, “Please. Let’s not do this here.” Ferretstrike’s fur bristled, “You’re a horrible medicine cat. You didn’t care when Wheatpaw died so why would you care about my brother dying.” She hissed. The mention of his fallen apprentice made Gracklefur push Mothflutter aside, “It’s a shame your brother was killed and not you. You’d think with such a stupid and impulsive mind, you’d been the one killed.” (Mothflutter cries in a corner)
Flameflicker stood up now with half a hiss in his throat "Stop it! Both of you!" he raised his voice only slightly more than normal "Neither of you are acting as you should! If anything, you've aged back into kits!"
Ferretstrike hissed bitterly towards the Flameflicker, “Stay our of it, Flameflicker!” “But he’s right, Ferret.” Mothflutter stared towards the medicine den with tears streaming down her face, “Smokeburr wouldn’t want you to get hurt.” Ferretstrike’s claws sank into the dirt and gripped shakingly as she watched Gracklefur give a small nod in agreement, “I know your angry. I know all you want now is blood and if you keep it up, it’ll be your blood.” He said with a low growl before he left to the medicine den, “I’ll have him ready for burial tonight.” He muttered. Mothflutter rubbed her face and gave a sad smile to Flameflicker, glad that he helped prevent her sister and the medicine cat from killing each other
Flameflicker could only agree with Gracklefur's words. He took a seat next to both of them with a small sigh of sadness for their brother.
Ferretstrike gave Flameflicker and glare, “This isn’t your business, Flameflicker.” She growled, her eyes narrowing but seeming to hesitate. She stood up and walked out of camp, blinking away tears.
Mothflutter sniffed, her eyes widened as her sister left. She tried calling to her but nothing, her shoulders hunched up and she leaned against Flameflicker, softly crying, “I can’t do anything.”
The tom held his tail to her back in a comforting sort of 'hug' before letting it fall back into place "I think letting her be is all we can do. I just hope she doesn't get herself hurt. Fighting a rogue would be acting selfishly for her, fighting really anything would be selfish." It would leave the risk of Ferretstrike getting herself killed and leaving Mothflutter by herself.
Mothflutter buried her face in Flameflicker’s shoulder, “You know she doesn’t see it that way.” She was glad to have him here for comfort. Even though her sister wasn’t one to show emotion, she’d wished she didn’t run off. “I need to find her. Before she does something stupid.”
"I don't know." Jaggedtalon mewed with a shrug of his shoulders. He didn't know much about the development of kits. "Suppose, we could always ask Carrotleaf.
He nodded "Would you like me to help you find her?" the tom asked her, turning his head to watch the entrance with a sad look. He couldn't fully understand how Ferretstrike felt but he knew how much it hurt to lose someone important. Maybe losing a loved one is different from a beloved family member but, he could try.
Owlstar had also turned away, walking back to where Wren awaited him. He looked over his shoulder at the tom and mewed, "Starclan chose you. And they were right." Eveningbreeze's fur warmed with a nervous embarrassment she hadn't felt she she was a Paw desperate to prove her worth. Her eyes half closed for a moment and she looked over at Moosecharge shyly, unsure what to do or say. Bluesmoke nodded while she talked. He was surprised she didn't offer her own self to the position. "Those are good candidates. I was looking for someone a bit younger though. Someone who would lead for a long time." He was interested to see her thoughts with that. Rockshard breathed deeply, the nerves of what was happening behind to settle in, but there was a new hint of hope, StarClan had not abandoned them and he was not going to let the clan down. Flicking his tail sharply with determination, Rockshard moved towards the waking world, saddened that he would have to go back to his blindness, but returning with a newfound purpose. "SunClan will make it through this. I promise." The large tom was unsure whether he was sure of it or not, he said it out loud to convince himself as well, but part of him desperately wanted to hang onto the hope of redemption for his clan. Noticing her embarrassment, Moosecharge quickly removed his tail, feeling his ears flush with heat. Yew arched an eyebrow sharply, now almost more sure of where he was going with this conversation, but still not wanting to jump to conclusions. She walked in silence trying to figure out her next move, not wanting to come off as too eager. After a few heartbeats she turned her attention towards her father once more, "As they will be your second in command, I am interested to see who you see as fit."
Dovebreeze had taken into account her sisters words and really just any other thought she'd been having over the situation. some part of her knew there were more pressing matters other than her love life but it seemed to push consume her. Her eyes were focused on the tree across the camp, her head along her paws as she focused more on her thoughts than her surroundings.
Ajax entered camp and his eyes darted around almost instantly searching for her pretty black and silver colored coat. He shook his head, no, he needed to stop. This wasn't right and he knew it. She would always hold some sort of grudge against him and one day it would come back. He settled down and stared at her, his eyes filling with a tiredness that he wasn't used to. He was mentally drained.
Dovebreeze could feel the gaze burning into her. It wasn't angry, at least she didn't think. Though it was hard to tell with just the feeling of being stared at. She picked her head up as she came back to reality, her eyes meeting that of Ajax's. Her heart and stomach sank but despite that, she gave him a warm smile.
Ajax stared at her, uncertain how he should feel by her smile. He laid his head down on his small paws as he stared at her, why did there have to be such a nice cat here? He couldn't understand it. What happened if they had to leave, he didn't want to forget her, in fact he wanted to be near her but he couldn't. He could feel them now, the harsh stares boring into his fur of the clan around him.
Dovebreeze kept her eyes on him, despite her smile, they held a sad look. She knew what her sister said but she also knew what Ajax himself had told her. Her gaze fell to her paws and then back to the tree. She felt so conflicted. As she continued to sit, she came back to the conclusion that if she at least let him know how she felt then maybe she'd be able to get over it or perhaps she focus on finding someone else, a clanmate, that she might wind up liking just the same, oh she didn't know. Her eyes just shifted back to Ajax for a split second before she returned to the tree.
