I usually prefer to map the characters out really fast? and then maybe just figure out a general direction for the plot? as for pairing, I'm up for pretty much whatever? I'm kinda in the mood to write a guy myself, but if you want to do an fxf relationship I'm down for that as well

Marcus Owen Hansen - 25 - male Marcus is about average height, just shy of 5'11". He's on the broader side, with a sturdy build and some muscle on him built through his job as a carpenter and the occasional run and not a strict work-out regimen. As such, he's not athletic, just obviously someone who does a decent amount of manual labour. His hair is thick, curly, dirty blond mess most commonly just brushed away from his face and left to whatever it pleases. He has green eyes leaning slightly towards hazel and a triangular face. His nose is gently sloped downward and his mouth wide, seeming to rest in a slight smile. Has no tattoos or piercings. A scar runs beneath the left side of his jaw from a skiing accident he was involved in as a child. Marcus is kind and warm and a genuinely caring person, but only someone who'd never actually spoken to him would call him gentle. He's surprisingly frank and plenty opinionated, and though he's not a particularly angry person, he tends to be quite grumpy and knows how to hold a grudge. He's innately curious and goes about getting his answers in a way that could only be described as aggressive. He's stubborn and determined and seemingly incapable of frustration, believing that if something doesn't work out then that only means he has to try again and again until it does work out, no matter what the cost. Has a tendency to burn himself out in this way and often needs someone else to step in to let him know he can rest or leave something that will never work behind.

I guess that depends on where we start? if we want to start with the robbery, you starting would probably make morse sense, but if we want to start with mark finding cosmia then me starting would be easier. so I guess it comes down to if we want to go over mark tracking down whoever he saw and getting the info he needs to figure out that cosi's involved or nah?

C O S M I A . A B B O T The plan was simple. Inflitrate the bank, grab the money from the tellers, make an exit, and do not show your face. They’d done it before. No one, not even the cops, could suspect a group of girls that looked fairly innocent. They all had alibis with one another, and had a store manager as a friend to vouch for them as well if they were ever questioned. Easy.
For Cosmia, her plans didn’t always come out right. Sure, some if not most were successful. But there had been some that had turned out all wrong. They had a no-harm list hanging up. Some girls in their group had boys names or girls names, some families were untouchable and some weren’t. It was all a matter of who was on whose good side and bad side. No one was allowed to harm any person upon that list, no matter the things that they did.
Cosi was the one to enforce that rule. Her friends, they called themselves the Amazons - in reference to the strong group of ladies who once had their own society - but didn’t enforce the same harsh rules, all were led under one person. Cosmia. She rose her way to the top by 23 and had been leading for about a year. Her group consisted of at least 30 girls by this point. Most importantly of those girls was her friend, Mune, who was her second in command. The two were definitely close. Sisters, almost.
Mune was by her side when they entered the bank, guns drawn. Cosmia had a black ski mask covering her face and black clothing upon her lithe body. Mune was wearing the same kind of clothing. There were a few muffled screams as the rest of her five girl team entered, but other than that it was pretty quiet.
Cosi glanced around, walking over to the teller and glaring at her. She kept her gun drawn and pointed, but pulled out a bag. ”Money. In. Now.” she attempted to speak in a lower voice, not to give away her natural one. The teller shoved money into the bag quickly, her eyes wide with fear. Cosmia then backed away as Mune hurriedly whispered something in her ear.
”Mark is here.”
Immediately, the girl whipped around and locked eyes with her former boyfriend, Marcus Hansen. Her eyes softened for a minute, replaying the good times they had together, before she hardened them again. Mark was one of the only people she put on the no-harm list. She raised her hand into the air, looking over at her friends. They all made eye contact and left their bags on the counter. Cosmia dropped hers and walked to the exit, letting her girls out first.
Memories began playing again and again in her head. They had a rocky end to their relationship, but many feelings were still stirred up. Her heart pounded in her chest as she stripped off her mask and her black clothing to reveal more appropriate street clothing- black ripped jeans, a dark green shirt and a black jacket. She pulled her hair out of the bun and let it flow down her shoulders.
The other girls did the same, and suddenly they didn’t look like girls who ran a crime business. They looked ordinary. Mune rested her hand onto Cosmia’s shoulder in comfort, knowing what they had gone through. Cosi glanced at her in appreciation before beginning a walk home. The hurriedly did it, going through the back alleys.
They reached home to their run down house. It was a large white building with three floors, several rooms, a big enough kitchen, a living room, and a few bathrooms. 30 girls lived there and they all were comfortable with it. One of the older girls was waiting by the door for them. ”Did you guys get the money?” she asked excitedly, but Cosmia just shoved past her and entered the house. She didn’t want to answer any questions.
At this point, she was worried that Mark had saw her. What would he think? This wasn’t the way she expected her life to turn out. He would probably dislike her, he still probably did since of their not so great break up.
[[ sorry it took so long! was busy the other day heh ]]

- Marcus Hansen -
The last thing Mark had expected when getting up that morning was to get caught in a bank robbery. He had a check to cash in, that was all. That was the plan. Maybe, if he felt like it, he'd buy himself a coffee downtown while he was here. It was his first day off in a while, he'd just started work on a new lot and so he'd been busier than usual. He deserved a break.
He did not deserve to have his morning disrupted by five people wielding guns and wearing ski masks.
The first hint he received that something was wrong was the woman he was currently speaking to letting out a loud shriek and diving to the floor, tugging him roughly with her. He swore as he landed, the thud reverberating through his bones. It was from here that he saw everything that happened. Dark clothes, darker masks, weapons and panic.
The woman who'd pulled him down, an older lady in her fifties who'd come in just before him, had a death grip on his arm, and Mark could feel his hand numbing from the lack of blood flow. He looked away from the mayhem for a moment, just a moment, to gingerly pry her hand away, and when he looked back up, he was staring into a pair of eyes he recognised. A pair of eyes he'd never forget, and a pair of eyes he'd never thought he'd see again.
Cosi and he had ended things a long time ago now, and they hadn't ended well. There had been a lot of fighting towards the end, a lot of uncertainty and things had cracked, then broken. It had caused them both a fair share of hurt, he was sure. He hadn't seen her since he graduated high school, but there was something about first love that couldn't be forgotten. Marcus had stared at those eyes many times before. In anger, admiration, adoration, even grief. Never in fear, though. Not until today.
There was something he'd expected less than the robbery, he realised. He hadn't expected to look into the eyes of the person running the show only to see someone he used to love in them.
It was entirely possible he was wrong, of course. He was probably in shock, trying to find something familiar in this entirely unfamiliar situation. Yes, that had to be it. Except suddenly, she tore her eyes away from him, left her bag on the counter and gestured for her group to leave. And so they did, leaving everything they'd intended to bring with them behind. As quickly as things had begun, they ended, but not even once the door had swung shut behind her did anyone in the room dare to breathe.
"What the hell?" Mark heard someone say from across the room. "What is this? Some sort of prank? 'Cause it isn' t very funny." Marcus was pretty sure this wasn't a joke at all. Whether or not it had been Cosi behind that mask or not, she had recognised him. Or maybe she'd recognised the woman hiding behind him, he wasn't sure. But leaving empty handed hadn't been part of the plan and someone in here was the reason why they had nonetheless. It seemed he had a visit to make.
He pushed himself to his feet, helping the woman - June, she'd said, before all this happened - up as well. Everywhere he looked he was met with either confused looks or wide, frightened eyes. Nobody in here knew what to do or where to go, or if they could even leave. In the distance, there was the sound of sirens approaching them. Marcus' day off was about to get a whole lot less free, he could already tell.
*** Three hours later, and Marcus was finally out of the bank. Everyone had been interviewed, checked over for injuries, waited. At least he'd had time to come up with a plan of sorts. He wasn't going to sleep tonight if he didn't know just what it was that had happened today, so he had people he needed to speak to. Above all, he needed to speak to Cosmia. He had no idea how he'd reach her, though. She'd no doubt moved since they'd last spoken, changed her number. His Googling at the bank hadn't garnered much information. That meant only one thing. He'd have to speak to the people he could reach and who might know where she was. Her parents, old friends, extended family. Anyone. He wasn't going to let one Little set-back get in the way of hearing what she had to say.
And so it was that he found himself knocking on the door of her old house perhaps an hour later, fed but unsatisfied. He was uncomfortable here.It had been years, and while he had some great memories from here, he had some worse ones, too. Some were downright bad. But he was a man on a mission. His level of comfort was irrelevant. He just hoped someone who'd know him was home.
I wasn't sure about her family life growing up and such so I made some assumptions here (mainly that she lived with her parents but also that mark would have met them at some point and so on), correct me if I'm wrong about anything! also, we can totally skip the whole search thing if you want, just let me know! if not, you could take the parents for a post, maybe a friend for another depending on how it goes? totally up to you though!
also, remind me to stop writing replies on mobile lmao it's actual torture to format & it takes an age and a half to write anything
