It's astonishingly boring and every book seems disconnected from the other with very little of an overarcing plot.

It's astonishingly boring and every book seems disconnected from the other with very little of an overarcing plot. I feel like TNP was the most connected series in Warriors--particularly the first half where all three books focused on the journey to save the Clans and find a new home, whether it was from and to the old forest or to the new lake territories. Honestly it was probably this connection that made it boring for readers, especially in Dawn. Dawn is the worst. but yeah the later half of TNP may not have been connected as the first part but I just saw that as: new territory, new challenges.

Looking back I felt like it was a hybrid between the original series and power of three- it felt traditional in a sense that the clans were pretty much the same as they usually were- generally small with lots of elders and had nearly the same leaders and familiar characters- yet StarClan somewhat increased their influence and the authors toyed with powers and the concept of “prophecy cats”, yet didn’t go too hardcore as Squirrelflight and Leafpool’s powers were rather subtle and just convienient for communication and only were discussed once in a blue moon and the “prophecy cats” definitely weren’t any more important than the non ones- and let’s be real they would have gladly left Crowpaw behind and kept Stormfur with them if they had the chance, nor would anything really change if they did, prophecy cat or not.
So in a nutshell I prefer this series over the following ones because it had a good balance of self-sufficiency and prophecy, which the further the series have gotten the more radical the dependency on StarClan is.
When the prophecy cats in this series got in trouble, they used their brains and StarClan didn’t stop them. In POT and OOTS they rarely use their brains and just wait for things to happen and the few times they do StarClan freaks out and gets mad at them.

I love it for being the arc that introduced me to Warriors, and for Brambleclaw, but it lacks quite a bit. I find it kinda sad that my garbled mess of a memory does a better job at telling the story than the actual arc. I had a lot of “oh, yeah! That actually happened” moments when I tried to reread it, and the writing style itself was sort of a slap in the face because before that I’d been reading stories with quite different ones. But, that happens whenever I read a Warriors book now. There were some interesting ideas, but a lot of not-so-good executions and I could probably write an essay about what I would’ve altered. However, the most of characters are very enjoyable and I found myself routing for them quickly. The tribe was intriguing, and the idea of overlapping prophecies was cool. Midnight was a little bit of a surprise in my first read, and I like the idea of her.

I like it. It's probably my third favorite arc after the original arc and Dawn Of The Clans. Plus, it was interesting to see a next generation of sorts with the Clan cats.

I meh it but it's not my favorite overall ofc. It's down there in the middle for me. The first half was alright, but the second half was a little lacking, outside Sunset. The Leaf/Crow drama focus really dragged it down for me in the second half.
I don't mind journeying books because I can usually chill when reading them. I just wish Dawn had less standing around and more of the actual journey itself, it's sad that it was just skimmed over entirely. I'm gonna say it was probably due to the fact that Kate was the one that wrote it rather than Cherith who did the other five. Cherith was the one to do journey stuff in slow-burn detail while Kate doesn't focus on that stuff in a grand scheme in comparison, which makes the actual Great Journey lackluster and too fast due to that. I still stand by my view that the journey to the lake should've taken two books; Dawn for them to get to the Tribe at least, and Starlight to get to the lake itself.

Like others have said...it truly had the potential to be good. It fell flat, and I see OOTS as better than (but not very much so) this so...it’s terrible.

It's my least favourite series. The fact that two of its main characters are easily in my top 5 most disliked list and I'm mostly indifferent to the other three doesn't help either. Not to mention that it also introduced my least favourite character and couple

I personally wouldn't say it's the best arc, but it's certainly second or a tie with the first arc for me.

It introduced me to the series, so it's definitely up there for me. I can admit its weaknesses (like the Great Journey going by too fast, and Leaf/Crow being badly written), but I still enjoy it a lot.

I’m currently rereading the series (going to start Outcast soon), and I really enjoyed TNP. I felt really connected to the six warriors on the journey to the sun-drown place, I had a lot of fun reading this arc, and I think it followed a good storyline. It’s obviously not perfect, but I’m interested in seeing if my opinions will change as I continue to reread the series.

The entire thing was an "eh" for me. It would've felt more rewarding for Squirrelflight to have figured out burdock root for herself through a sort of analysis on the rat wound or smth instead of conveniently calling upon her connection with Leafpool. The Crowfeather and Leafpool thing was okay, it was well told and pretty nice to read. However, it feels like the only reason they killed Feathertail was so the Leafpool thing could happen. The entire tribe thing felt kinda unnecessary. The travelling was boring and exploring the lake was boring. Finding the moonpool was okay. Also, it feels like after the great journey only the ThunderClan cats involved in finding midnight still had a purpose, while the rest were left in the dirt. It's kindof a let-down to be honest.
In total it's probably my least favorite arc.
