Hi. I'm Armadillostar. I was Moonshadow235 on the old forums from 2009 to 2011ish and Armadillostar from 2011ish on. I was 10 years old, in 5th grade, when I first made an account, and now I'm 19 and about to go into my second year of college. And I started reading Warriors when I was 6. So it's pretty much always been a facet of my life, and I'm a sucker for nostalgia (I still can't let go of Pokemon, either). I was planning on never making an account on here, since my double life as a forums regular ended a while before the forums themselves did, but a few minutes ago I felt suddenly compelled to make a shout into the void. I've been re-reading The Prophecies begin this summer for a nostalgia boost, so I guess this was the inevitable next step.

I guess I'm just looking to chat. What you guys have done here is really touching, and I'm so glad you didn't let this little gem die. Who made these forums? What are they like? What is WFF like? (That was where I used to hang out.) Why did the original forums shut down, anyway?

Welcome to WCRP!

These forums were created by two staff members, one who has been absent for quite some time & another that pulls a lot of weight here.

I think it depends where you hang out on the forums for you to know what it’s like. Some subboards are very different from others.

The original forums shut down due to “technology changes,” but as I know a lot of members have personal opinions about it.

I hope you enjoy your time here :-)

Wow, I had a really similar story to yours! I've been into the Warriors series since I was 11, in the middle of a move to a different country. My new school was pretty uninviting at first and I was an awkward middle schooler struggling with social anxiety, so making friends was tough. I found the forums not too long after reading the series, so I started writing fan fiction for it and found a great social group in the WFF community! I left and came back a few times depending on what was going on in life, sometimes with a new account as a fresh start... but this forum was always such a welcoming and supportive place through all the times I had to move, fit into a school where I didn't click with anyone, or just go through general coming-of-age struggles. I had so much fun here, and even though I left for good about a year before the forums shut down, it'll always have a place in my heart.

But yeah, as you can probably tell, I'm a total sucker for nostalgia too lol, part of the reason I'm back for a little while over the summer

But I'd love to chat! From what I've seen so far, this forum is not quite as big or active as it used to be, but it certainly isn't dead and the community seems pretty tight as a result of the smaller size. Also, if you'd like to reconnect with the WFF crowd, there's a Cafe thread here specifically for a general WFF community chatroom! You should stop by and see who's around ^^

By the way, Pokemon has been my LIFE for like, 13 years! :wacko:

I love it! I used to be ashamed of my unshakeable obsession, but now I just embrace it XD How did you get into Pokemon? Which was your favorite game?
