Warning-I will be getting into something called inbreeding and it's really weird so you have been warned Graystripe!!! So for those of you who didn't know Graystipe's parents are Patchpelt and Willowpelt. But here comes the creepy part.... WILLOWPELT AND PATCHPELT ARE FREAKING SIBLINGS!!! No not siblings from the same litter but siblings nether less. Considering that instead of sharing 25% of his genes with his grandparents he is sharing 50% genes BECAUSE HIS PARENTS ARE SIBLINGS! And he would have some pretty nasty health problems but the reason we don't see them is because our genes from our parents who aren't siblings cover up those nasty things. But when you're inbreed those diseases are more likely to appear. "But what about Feathertail, Stormfur, Blossomfall, Briarlight, and Bumblestripe?" Well luckily both of Graystripe's mates aren't his siblings and because of that those problems will clear up. Okay if I got something incorrect or I missed something please tell me because I was using muscle memory on this. And I would like to hear your ideas and thoughts about this. Now here's a quote about inbreeding from Drawfee.
"I like my sister daddy! When will we get wed daddy!!!!!!"

Well, as far as we know, there's no other direct inbreeding in Graystripe's line so there's no reason for him to display any health problems. Breeders inbreed their cats all the time, and it takes a few generations of direct inbreeding for distinct health problems to pop up. Works the same for humans as well. This. It's not exactly a wholly one-and-done boom you have problems now thing, like many people are treating it as. The one time we've seen straight up, full on inbreeding in the characters is through Willowpelt and Patchpelt (By that I mean sibling/sibling, which are as close related as you can get around here), but no more than that. If it was through a long line of inbred generations then I'd see why folks would get tied in knots about it, but with Willowpelt it was literally JUST Greystripe, the one cat, and no others. Literally the two other cats Willowpelt has had kits with aren't related to her at all. So Greystripe being fine is not farfetched.
