I have a natural disliking towards popular people? I mean, they could be the nicest person in the world, but I'd still dislike them. Probably just because I know I'll always be at the bottom. But still, I find it strange. And I hate it, because that's no reason to dislike someone. But I can't help it

i get that way sometimes too that motivates me to try to become popular in some cases (like in 2010/2011 when i wanted to become one of the cool ootsians), but in other cases i just am like "lmao no"

If they're nice, I usually don't mind them.
It's only the mean popular people I don't like.

i don't think it's weird but i don't rlly feel like that ever ?? like on here i don't think there's such thing as popularity. i mean we're on a catbeardog site. and my first high school had 3,300 students so there honestly weren't popular kids. my second high school had 930 but i only went there for my senior year so i didn't care and didn't learn who the popular crowd was if there even was one. i haven't had to deal w "popular kids" since like middle school so ngl i don't feel the same way

I can sympathize though I don't feel it myself
What do y'all consider "popular" to be? Legitimately curious, I hope that doesn't seem a rude question ^^;;

I had no idea any of those people were popular, in fact I can't even recall seeing a few of those names. I am extremely new to this site haha

that's who i consider popular, they may not be popular to other people and I'm lowkey jealous of them but they're like miracle workers when it comes to conversation and I can't keep a conversation going for my life and they have heaps of people who like them on the forums I have a bad habit of comparing myself to people and being self-deprecating of myself.

You have to remember that mentality will also come from the media we consume as kids. Popular people are always the bad guys where the outsider types tend to be the heroes.
