Do you like Firestar as a character? You can either say "yes" or "no", or "neutral answer". If you want to explain your feelings/opinion behind the character, feel free to do so! Note: If any heated debates arise, I will delete this thread. Edit: It has come to my attention that I did not add an "Other" option to the poll. It is too late for me to edit this poll; however, all of my future polls will include this option. My bad.

I like him as a protagonist but I find his leadership skills to be just okay. He's not a bad leader but he also made some pretty dumb decisions

I like how you gave us a written explanation of how to vote in the poll.

I like how you gave us a written explanation of how to vote in the poll. What if I want to vote "Other"?

I like how you gave us a written explanation of how to vote in the poll. What if I want to vote "Other"? "Neutral Answer" was originally meant to be "Other", but I suppose you do have a point. Is there any way I can edit the poll?

He was amazing in the original series. He had flaws and was still growing into a mature cat. Fireheart always did what he thought was for the best. He cared for his friends and his clan. He took risks to protect his friends, like lying to the clan about GrayxSilver, or making them believe that Ravenpaw was dead. I can see why cats say they owe him their life, because they really do. He does whatever he can to keep his Clan and everyone safe, and this is also what makes him a good leader. I also admire him trying to move on from Spottedleaf, when he told her he couldn't be in love with a memory anymore. It shows he truly wanted to move on and have a life with Sandstorm.
SandFire is also great. I don't know why people say it's forced. It's not. It's perfectly natural for someone to respect them for saving their life. Wouldn't you? Sandstorm began to respect him and she wanted to get to know them. They had quarrels but it was only because Spottedleaf wouldn't back off, and when she did she stopped quarreling with Firestar and Spottedleaf respected that. It also showed the two bonding & getting to know each other, which is realistic and satisfying to read about. Because we don't get that growth often in warriors when it comes to romance. It's almost always forced, like SpottedFire for example.
I still like him even now. Firestar was a good parent and leader. I even love him more in StarClan because he still wants to protect his clan. He trusts Bramblestar to fulfill his pawsteps and that shows how far they've gone from the beginning. I know he became really bland in OotS but that wasn't a good series and honestly, all characters were bland there. Firestar is a good character, if not one of the best throughout the entire series. He has a good family, good kits, and a good clan. I don't know why people complain about him for always being in the spotlight when it comes to prophecies. Firestar is a good cat at heart, decently written with ecen a decent relationship with Sandstorm, and that's all that matters. I miss him, it's weird to read the series without him.

Firestar is a good cat at heart, decently written with ecen a decent relationship with Sandstorm, and that's all that matters. I miss him, it's weird to read the series without him. To quote you saying that some feel like SandFire was forced, it definitely was not. Haha. Now, TigerLily? Omg, that relationship has been shoved down our throats for 2 whole series now. And BrambleFlight? (BramblestarxSquirrelflight.) I personally see it as... unrealistic. Sure, a divorced/quarreling couple CAN come back together, but in the case of BrambleFlight... It was comparable to a situation in a book/video game/movie where, no matter how many times you think a character(s) has died, they always come back, either immediately or later on. In other words, everything will be fine in the end. Imo, "destiny" aside, they should have remained split up. I suppose the reason why I miss Firestar the most is because, well, the majority of the characters, back in the old series, had meaning behind their existence, regardless of their rank or "screen time"! Redtail, Tigerheart/star, Ravenpaw, Graypaw/stripe, Silverstream, Crookedstar, Leopardfur/star, Lionheart, Cinderpelt, Littlecloud... The list goes on and on. Nowadays, especially in OOTS (I skipped the third series, as I could not find the first book anywhere), a lot of the characters seemed to just be there for the sake of making up the population of the Clan(s). Maybe that's just me, and sure, there are still a lot of memorable characters around, but these days there sure seem to be a heck of a lot more characters that exist just to make the population of the Clans.

If you're really worried about Rainwhisker's death being a spoiler, you can just put a spoiler tag.

If you're really worried about Rainwhisker's death being a spoiler, you can just put a spoiler tag. I am unsure of how to do that (I only just joined WCRP last night), so until I figure out how to do that, I will just edit the comment above to not include their names.

Hecc yeah I fricking love Firestar. I enjoy reading his PoV and everything. Aqua said it best too.
Honestly it's really weird reading AVoS for me because, well, aside from popping up in Starclan he's not usually there, and after having Firestar as leader for a whole three full arcs I'm probably never gonna be used to him not being in Thunderclan anymore, I miss the guy.

Look for the "hush" smiley at the top of the comment box, on the far right, that's the spoiler button. Like so.
