Darkkit stared at his brother with anger and his tail lashed back and forth "you tell dad and mom everything! You're supposed to be my brother! Be on my side! You can stay where you like I shouldn't have asked you to come." he said, moving past his brother and marching with anger.

Thunderkit looked at her sister and shook her head "Softwing looks hurt, we should wait for mom to come back. Those kits can't even see yet so we should wait until they're big enough to play! They're gonna look up to us you know?" she said happily, her eyes dazzling.

Redfang moved to his daughter and wrapped his tiny body around her with worry, memories of his mate flashing through his mind as he remembered the death of his loved one. He turned his attention to the kits and his heart jumped for a moment, they were so beautiful, though they weren't small at all. Fuzzythroat bowed his head to Snapperjaw with respect and he nodded "thank you, Snapperjaw."

Snapperjaw nodded. "Let us know if she starts to bleed again." He lead Sablepaw out so that they could get cleaned up.

Softwing struggled to lift her head. "Daddy?" She whispered. Her voice was hoarse. It had hurt so much. She couldn't feel the lower end of her body, but was aware of her darling kits suckling. She purred happily and slowly began to curl up around them. Where was Shadeclaw?

The older tom took in everything that happened between the jump and landing oh his apprentice. He knew many cats from LightningClan were good jumpers and climbers due to their body types, but some weren't as skilled naturally like the other cats.
"You always want to make sure you have good footing before jumping since you'll slip." Skyrunner advised before pointing at his hind paws. "The power of the jump depends on your hind muscles and when you are hunting the most important part to hit your target is the front paws. If this was just jumping over a river then you would of had fallen in the water."
Skyrunner didn't raise his voice or become angry by the mistake Firepaw made. He knew well enough his apprentice wouldn't be a great warrior until he had more practice and time to understand the skills.


Hazepaw had her ears perked and eyes on him as he explained what to do. "But shouldn't I help with the fight?" She asked with a small frown. "I heard some cats thinking it's cowardly to run away from a fight." She knew her father thought differently though and would rather have the cats safe than getting in harms way.

Softwing purred. "I told you it'd be fine." She mumbled quietly, letting her head fall back down. She was determined to stay awake until Shadeclaw came back.

Lilystep was quite awake despite not having slept much the night before. She purred softly watching Applethorn fall asleep, gently licking his head and humming softly as he dozed off. She watched his sleep for a few moments, the steady, strong rising and falling of his breathing, the fact that he smiled in his sleep and breathing in his comforting scent. Not long after he fell asleep, Lilystep found herself growing quite tired and found it was harder and harder to keep her eyes open. Giving into the gentle lulling of sleep, the long furred she-cat closed her eyes, setting her head down next to Applethorn's and drifting into a wonderful sleep.
