Juniperkit stuck out her tongue, “I can’t watch where I’m going if I’m blind!”
She continued to explore the den, having absolutely no care more concern for the organization of the herbs and berries.
She started to annoy the elder with questions, “What’s this berry?”
“What’s this herb? It smells like rats!”
“Is this a dead body? Or just a smelly nest?”
“Do you have any dead cats? I wanna poke the eyes!”
“What’s that berry?”

Lilystep's eyes glowed when she realized what the tom was doing for her, smiling softly to herself as she watched him busy himself with his work, fondly noticing the way his brow furrowed when he focused and the way his nose crinkled ever so slightly as he worked quickly. Purring, the long furred she-cat moved over to the tom amd licked his cheek, "Its wonderful, thank you. Probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me."

He moved away from her, eyes narrowing slightly. Her friend was that disrespectful jerk from the patrol? "This Duskpaw... Is he normally so... rude?" He asked, hesitating but not really willing to befriend Emberpaw if she hung around cats like him too much. But maybe he had misjudged Duskpaw. It didn't seem like this bubbly little apprentice hung around with a jerk like that.

"He looked ready to attack us." Ravenpaw stated, "Wait, your father got exiled from your clan? I can't see anyone being related to you and being bad. You're nicer than Jaypaw!" He knew the little she-cat couldn't know that Jaypaw was the sweetest of his siblings, but he hoped she understood nonetheless.

Juniperkit batted at the tom before she scurried back in the den, “I’m not touching anything you grump! I bet you don’t even know the answers to my questions! That’s why you want me out.”

I sleep now.

"He sounds like a blast," Ravenpaw attempted sarcasm, but it ended up sounding genuine so he added, "I meant that as a joke. Our meanest cat is Oakflash. He was the thin black and white cat next to our leader. When we were kits, our mother used to joke that he was gonna capture us and eat us up alive if we didn't go to sleep when she told us to."

"Well, Magpiepaw's the oldest. Our mom died of sickness when we came to our new territory, but Magpiepaw's always been the responsible one, even before Mom died. Crowpaw is the other black apprentice that was with us. He's the funny one, I suppose. I'm not really funny. Jaypaw's the sweet one. She's really nice and most of our clan adores her. Hard not to, I suppose." Ravenpaw enjoyed talking about his siblings, as they were the only cats who truly understood Ravenpaw and the way he acted.

"I imagine you wouldn't. They sound like nice cats, Emberpaw. I wish they would come home to you, but I have no control over that. Starclan will guide them, though!" He didn't want to ask why the toms had run away, because it sounded like Lightningclan had had a great deal of trouble recently, and he didn't want to abuse her trust.

"Hailclan really doesn't need any more trouble." He sighed, "Our clan has been through so much lately. We lost so many to our journey. We need Lightningclan as allies, not enemies. But Fallenleaf made a good impression on your deputy, I think!"

"She's pretty nice. She wasn't supposed to be our deputy. Another cat, Thistlebranch, was going to be. He's real mad about that one." Ravenpaw told her, though he didn't know why. He was never this open with anyone, let alone a strange she-cat he'd just met. Why was she so open and inviting?

"Icestar is a wonderful leader. I wasn't around for the leader before her. I can't imagine what the clan's going to be like if Fallenleaf becomes our leader, though. It won't be bad just... different." He liked the clan the way it was, with both Icestar and Fallenleaf guiding them to a time of peace and calm.

Ravenpaw pushed her away and looked sternly at her, "What did you do that for?" He wasn't very familiar with playing, as he often opted out when his siblings decided to run amok. He didn't sound offended or upset, simply confused.

Emberpaw's eyes lit up and she tilted her head "it's playing! It's okay! Duskpaw didn't understand it much at first, just think of it as a gentle battle without claws." She batted at him playfully with sheathed claws "if you don't want to I have plenty of games we can play!"

Graypaw lifted his head and walked calmly "I can smell him, he doesn't seem too far." he said, glancing at the two siblings, slightly annoyed that they had been rude to him.
