As they neared the Boiling Lake, the rats started to head back to the barn and got bored of chasing the cats. The water in the center of the lake sparkled as it boiled and made bubbling noises. Skyrunner skidded to a halt a fox length away and turned to make sure Hailclaw had made it. Relief flooded through him when he saw the tom, but didn't speak as his body collapsed onto the floor. His gaze filled with darkness as he passed out from exhaustion.

Hailclaw watched from behind as Skyrunner fell on the ground. The tom pushed himself to put one paw in front of the other to make it to the older warrior. When he saw Skyrunner was still alive, he, himself, dropped to the ground, his paw and leg absolutely throbbing. His eyes threatened to close, but he torced them open, paranoid of what could happen if he fell asleep. Hailclaw locked his eyes on Skyrunner’s body, making sure the other tom remained alright, after all it was his idea they went to the farm.

"Foxstar named you accurately," Lakesong meowed with a smile. "I sometimes wonder what he'd have named me if the leaders named medicine cats." Ottersplash tilted her head to the side. "Maybe you would be called... Lakeheart?" She didn't think their leader would give her a bad name. Oh wow... that was Lake's original name before I changed it XD )) Lakesong smiled. "That's pretty," she meowed, "but, and I don't like not being humble, but I think the name Lakesong is gorgeous. I don't think I'd change it even if I could." |

Nightpaw's ears perked at the tom's words and he backed up as Echopaw steadied herself. "Alright. You're asking for it!" Nightpaw crowed, circling the two before quickly pouncing on Echopaw, sending her sprawling once more into Dewnose's legs. She let out a squeak and flailed around, managing to knock her brother down but hitting Dewnose as well. "Echopaw!" Maplestrike worried her claw for a moment, glancing over at Lightningsong for a moment."Are you sure? You aren't hurt too badly are you?" she fretted for a moment, ignoring her own sore back. The squirrel they caught earlier was enough, right? "Makes you feel tiny standing next to the trees, doesn't it?" Moonclaw asked her, noticing the awe on her face. He felt that way the first time he came to LightningClan too as a kit. In fact he still felt like a kit some days wondering in these ancient trees. "Come. I'll take you to the border edge and continue from there." "I could climb all these trees!" Spottedpaw quickly took off and jumped onto a tree. She gripped with her claws and began to make her way to the first branch. "Watch me, Moonclaw!" She yowled with glee. |

His body was quite beaten up from those rats and he could feel the bites throb. They had to go to the camp and seek medical attention. |

Lionfang carried the she-cat towards the camp with a grunt in each step. He can't believe a monster would fly off the thunderpath. In his training, it's always been told they kept to the black paths. "Almost there, Ambershine."

Hailclaw could barely see Skyrunner breathing and knew they had to get to camp soon so Lakesong could check them out. He groaned as he forced himself to get up, wincing in pain when he put pressure on the paw that was bit. “Skyrunner? Do you think you could make it back to camp?” he meowed, exhaustion clear in his voice.

Lakesong had been in the middle of organizing her herb piles when she heard someone collapse nearby. She paused, and when she heard exhausted, pained voices, she abandoned her herbs and followed the sound. A startled gasp came from her when she saw Skyrunner and Hailclaw on the ground beside the water. She rushed to their aid, running to Skyrunner's side and looking over him.
"Hailclaw! Skyrunner! What happened?" She asked, inspecting the injuries on Skyrunner, then on Hailclaw. "Are these rat bites?"

Hailclaw sighed with relief once he saw the medicine cat and quickly sat down as to not put any more pressure on his aching paw. “Yes, we were hunting in the Abandon Farm and a swarm of rats attacked us,” the large tom replied, defeat in his eyes.

"Ottersplash!" Lakesong called to the warrior. "I need your help! Hailclaw, can you walk back to camp?" She stood over Skyrunner and looked into his eyes, hoping he was still conscious. "Skyrunner, can you hear me? You're going to be okay."

(Im not sure about Sky, but Hail has two bad bites on his paw and another on the opposite leg with a few other minor bites and scratches all over his body)
