So something I wanted to debate a bit. In his novella he imagines StarClan saying to kill Tigerkit.
I don't think it was really StarClan saying that. Pinestar at this point was a washed up old leader, tired of Clan life. I think a lot of the voices saying to kill Tigerkit were his own paranoia and delusions.
StarClan told him Tigerkit was dangerous. But only if he didn't have Pinestar to guide him. I think Pinestar felt too overwhelmed by this and started imagining these visions. StarClan wanted him to stay and save Tigerkit. Not murder him. Idk where the misconception comes from that StarClan wanted Tigerkit dead. They have never been violent in wanting a kit of all things dead.
Thoughts?

Well if Tigerstar can spend visions to Lionpaw of him killing Heatherpaw and Hawkfrost can make the Dark Forest appear like a flowery field to Ivypaw, I suppose it's not impossible for them to pose as Starclan cats and pressure him to kill Tigerkit, in order for Pinestar to join their ranks.

I think Pinestar's Choice would have been one of the best novellas if only StarClan wasn't included in it.

I don't think any one had sent him the visions though. I truly think Pinestar was just extremely burnt out at this point, and was beginning to lose his composure. Especially after his two daughters died, and Tigerkit, the only surviving one, being destined to be evil unless Pinestar himself stayed there.
