I’ve missed you For too long now I’ve waited Watched my heavy breath suspended in the brittle winter air Wisps of unspoken thoughts twist in front of my pale frame Coiling and coaxing from my mind the fleeting wishes of what can never be Fingers intertwined, running through hair Your laugh invigorating whatever hope I still have Lips hovering Barely brushing against The quivering of my subconscious doubts But none of it matters now I curse myself, for even having these thoughts Is a luxury I can no longer afford Because you don’t care And the only thing I know Is that I’ll never see you again
