Ouch. Had Thunderblossom really mean to call her behavior out like that? Ravenpaw rolled her eyes as she went yo go and collect her prey from the little areas where she buried it. She had a little bit of difficulty with the stupid quail, but dragging it out was slowly becoming easier and easier. Once she had finished bringing the quail back to the fresh kill pile, she scampered back off to go and get the mouse that was still buried. Besides, it was better for her to have some time to herself without any older cats trying to constantly watch her.

Sitting down for a short moment in order to fully groom the burrs and tufts of grass from her fur whilst she awaited the apprentice’s return once Ravenpaw had returned to her line of sight, the tall shecat returned to her paws and set off back to camp. Her long tail flicking from side to side in frustration, she said nothing as the pair began making their way back home. Unbeknown to the pair, in their wake they left a fox sneaking in the shadows. Waiting for the opportunity to tackle the cats and take their prey, and potentially their lives whilst he was at it.

Ravenpaw knew that something was really... Off... The smell in the air was just really weird. She hasn't had the privilege to encounter a fox, so she just assumed it was rotting prey or something. She dug her mouse back up and was proceeding to head back to camp. She grumbled to herself, but was in decently good spirits all the more. Soon she figured that she would eventually get the better of Thunderblossom soon enough.

Pausing, she looked back to ensure her apprentice was following, but as she did she noticed the obvious a split second too late, and her heart darted into her throat at the familiar splash of ginger awaiting in the shadows a couple of metres away from Ravenpaw. With a furious yowl, Thunderblossom lunged with everything she had, charging past the apprentice and colliding with the fox as elegantly as a brick wall. A furious snarl ripping from her throat as she tore her claws into the fox’s muzzle, howling with pain as the fox tore its fangs through her own flank.

Ravenpaw wasn't aware of the danger. She was mostly concerned about bringing the fresh kill back to the pile. It was all a blur when Thunderblossom charged. What the...? She turned, gasping at the sight of the fox before she screeched in alarm. She stood frozen, watching as her mentor dove in for a confrontation. What was she doing? Wouldn't that be a death sentence? She knew that Thunderblossom didn't stand a chance on her own, or did she? She hated her own hesitation! She darted to the side once she had dropped her mouse to the ground. Then she started to the rear of the fox, hoping to bite at its tail so it could be caught off guard.

Weaseltail, This grouchy, old tom is the clans medicine cat, and regarded as somewhat unpleasant by many of his clanmates. While he is very competent as a healer, his bedside manner leaves much to be desired. He is very harsh, especially to cats who would like to learn his trade, even though he means well. He just has very high standards. On the physical side, Weaseltail is positively tiny. This isn't helped by the fact that he is very slim and that his pelt is not particularly long, even though his tail is rather bushy. His fur is a reddish-brown colour that is darker on the head and becomes lighter on the body and the almost red tail, which ends in a round, white tip. White markings can also be found on his muzzle, chest and all four feet, with his right front paw having only a small spot of white and his left back leg being almost entirely white. His piercing yellow-orange eyes add to his overall menacing and unfriendly aura. Weaseltail is a cat that is hard to win over, but if you can manage, he is a great ally. shark Medicine Cat Relationships: Open for Siblings Other: Weaseltail might be a Dark Forest ally... Hailpaw, Hailpaw is a timid, pale grey spotted tabby, whose light grey coat is dappled with small, medium grey spots. One notable feature is the dark stripe that runs from his head all the way to his tail, which is marked with thick, grey rings. His eyes are a pale yellow. Almost as pale as his coat is his character. His broad shoulders are usually hunched over and he doesn't often meet other cats eyes. His insecurity makes him a passable apprentice at best, though he does get better through gentle encouragement and personal successes that bolster his confidence. Under his quiet and shy demeanour, Hailpaw is a sweet and gentle cat that gets along well with others. He wishes he were more confident and more like the other apprentices, but he can't seem to get over his shyness. shark Apprentice Relationships: Open for Siblings/Parents Other: Ignite the Flame
Hawkdawn, As one of the more senior warriors, Hawkdawn has a good reputation amongst the clan. She is a very good fighter, a slightly less good hunter, but overall a very strong and reliable cat. Success, however tends to get to her head - Hawkdawn is by no means a modest cat. She is confident and likes attention, but hates being ignored or disregarded. She gains her name from her long, pale beige coat, that is covered in light brown tabby markings, which are not unlike the colours and patterns of a hawks head and body. Especially her front legs are heavily scarred. Those are mementos of her wilder, more reckless youth. Even though she regrets how she got some of these scars, she carries them proudly. Hawkdawns eyes are a murky, blueish-green colour, which she doesn't like. She'd much rather carry her namesakes bright yellow eyes. shark Warrior Relationships: Open for Mate/Siblings/Kits Other: Ignite the Flame

Pantherfrost was the first to appear a robin clasped firmly in his jaws. Seemed like the warrior had completed the task he set out for his apprentice. Dipping his head in greeting once again, he nodded and smiled, "I hope so." The two were only sitting for a moment until the young tom came strutting in, head high and chest out. The sense of accomplishment was radiating off Frostpaw and Cedarfang had to hold back a mreow of laughter. "Good job," he praised as he rose to his paws. Crossing over to the base of the tree trunk, he glanced up into the canopy before returning his attention to his apprentice. "Show me how high you can manage."

(I'm not sure... the rule says one apprentice for every two characters of another rank, so I thought it was okay? I might be wrong though.
Edit: Oh, you cleared that up already, thank you)

The black-furred tom trotted along in the direction they were meant to be going, that familiar heat building in his coat. Thankfully, the undercoat kept his skin cooler and saved him from the threat of sunburns. "Oh?" Darkclaw mowed, his gaze sparkling at the suggestion, claws already kneading in anticipation, "You think you can beat me?" Without waiting for a reply, and knowing it was a cheap move, the warrior took off like a rabbit, crowing "Good luck!" over his shoulder.

Pantherfrost shrugged while he looked to the clearing, patiently waiting for the younger cat to eventually come along. Hopefully he wouldn't take too long. He felt his whiskers twitch around in amusement as he saw Frostpaw sauntering over to them. Ah, confident and earnest. For now, he would watch and observe them as best he could. There was no need for him to interject anyway.

Darkclaw mowed, his gaze sparkling at the suggestion, claws already kneading in anticipation, "You think you can beat me?" Without waiting for a reply, and knowing it was a cheap move, the warrior took off like a rabbit, crowing "Good luck!" over his shoulder. A grin lighting his expression, the handsome tom was soon hurling himself in the same direction as the older warrior, paws kicking up dust and dirt in his wake as he bounced onwards with determination. “Cheater,” he called though laughter lit his tone as he bounded on. His leaner form making it easier to catch up to the older tom, but once he had it was difficult to take the lead. As the pair lunged onwards as fast as they could go, his laughter soundtracking their run as he continued onwards. Furious and desperate to get the lead, for the sheer fact that he wanted to feel the glory of victory. Ravenpaw wasn't aware of the danger. Looking to her apprentice when she too threw herself into the fray, Thunderblossom was already bleeding from the intensity of the fight, her hind leg in particular causing her pain from an especially vicious bite. The warrior fought fiercely and angrily, but even that didnt seem to be enough to keep the foul creature off their backs. She looked to the apprentice, desperation apparent in her dark brown eyes. “Get back to camp and get help, otherwise neither of us are going to get out of this alive,” she commanded as best as she could. Managing to deliver a harsh bite to the back of the fox’s neck, but even that seemed to do little to burden its steps.

Ravenpaw hated having to actually obey an order, but this was no time to be stubborn and defiant. She forced herself to turn tail and bolt towards camp. "Fox! A fox is attacking Thunderblossom!" She yelled as loudly as she could. Would anyone even hear her? Oh gosh she hoped some cats would believe her and follow her to bring aid.

Charredfrost and Hawkdawn would definitely get to bond or whatnot, lol)
