Anyone noticed that he really wanted some from Oka? I know it was obvious when he said "What's your name, pretty?" but he seemed to really want her, enough to follow her and witness her capture when he could have gone after any other female. Shoteka then was angered enough to take it out on Toklo, I guess because if Toklo wasn't there, he would have had a bigger chance to mate with Oka. Also, anyone else find it strange that he just had two encounters with Toklo and was never seen again? He didn't seem like the type to give up. Maybe he died.

Yea, it was supposed to reflect nature, where many animals such as bears will often go so far as to kill a desired female's offspring to mate with her and have her carry his offspring instead.
I think Vicky or someone stated that he died of age before he could appear again.

Yeah, I was thinking kind of the same thing. Some male animals (like bears and lions) will kill a mother's cubs to get their own bloodline a place in the world. That's what Shoteka was most likely doing before personally going after Toklo.
And it was a shame that Shoteka died. Him and Toklo having one more battle would've been interesting to see.

Yeah, I was thinking kind of the same thing. Some male animals (like bears and lions) will kill a mother's cubs to get their own bloodline a place in the world. That's what Shoteka was most likely doing before personally going after Toklo. And it was a shame that Shoteka died. Him and Toklo having one more battle would've been interesting to see. I agree about them having one more battle. I wanted to see how Toklo would fare against Shoteka as a full grown adult. |
