He seems a bit better today but hoping he has one big pee soon. A lot of smaller ones but at least he is going.

Thanks, Minted. I am still concerned, as he's not having big pees yet but I hope after his meds start to work well. He is doing better today and not as hyper restless and downright kooky.

It's all about progress. mintedstar/fur🦇 Yeah, it is a pretty sad thing, but I think it's a pretty good twist not often used. More fun things to come. Hehehehe....

Evil author laugh. o.o I spot an evil author laugh.
And yes! I loved the twist! I was enchanted with the idea!

I got another one that I wanna write. Got the first chapter ready too, but I'm waiting my turn in the Potluck for its grand opening. The main character is a medicine cat apprentice, and a lot of bad things are going to happen. I can also tell you that a new disease (probably) never before seen in the Warrior's universe is going to be running rampant. But that's all I can tell you for now.

Loved the happy ending. Only one error at the end. When you described Kip as a dark grey tabby in the epilogue, I remember him as a black tom. and sure enough in your allegiance list he is. Kip – a lithe black tom with a stumpy tail and vibrant blue eyes.(street cat)

But maybe that wasn't Kip That's the thing. His scent may have lingered, but the figure was down the road some. I wrote it the way intended. Hehehe...

Ah so you wrote a little cliffhanger? Does that mean there are more stories in the pipeline?

Nope. I suppose I could have wrote it a little clearer, but... it was Peppermint. I was trying to show that he's still around, being a street cat.

Awesome! I'm a big sap for happy endings, too, so my stories typically do end with it like that to some degree. Happy endings are the best endings.

Yep same for me too and that is in general how I write my tales. I also dislike when the main character dies, unless its a true story that ends sadly, which two of my books are-but I did add some spiritual stuff that part of me believes in to both books in tat there is a circle of life, and or energies can be reborn to a new life as part of the biosphere on earth. Its not everyone's cup of tea and that is why both are categorized as semi-fiction. But I had to stay true to the actual true stories and both do die in the end, even with the mystical elements added.
I really dislike sad, tragic or "cliffhanger" endings in my fiction (unless it leads to another book). I also dislike the killing off of a lot of characters, for the sake of horror. Bleh. I know one has to do so in some stories and situations, like in the last full chapter of NEW BLOOD. I had to keep it tied to the timeline, in the spirit of what DR Who always says that some moments are fixed in time and cannot be stopped, thus those that survived like Purdy, Spiderleg, and others who died with no fanfare in the books, died warrior's deaths in my story. It was a tough chapter to write, as many of those characters, even tho canon I came to really like. Killing Onestar was tough too as Smokewind loved him like a father, but because he died in the canon stories, I felt I had little choice with an obvious "fixed in time" event.
In my scifi novel, I wrote in the death of one of the main character's little winged pet, BUT could not do it. She lived and good thing too because as it turns out, without her Book II would not have occurred, and Book II would have been much more difficult without the felakoons she spawned. I know in tragic events, charcaters have to die, but I do it vrey grudgingly. . . .
Your story's happy ending was just what I love, finding joy, peace and love after tragic scary events.

I like it when you decide to not kill characters and it changes the story entirely. Like, I was going to kill off Peppermint with Cookie, but I decided not to. And because of this, I feel like he had a bigger impact on the story itself. I'm glad I spared him.
Those are exactly the kinds of endings I like too, where there;s so much joy and peace.

The ending was great! I liked that the group got to go to their homes again (and Thor got to go with Princess) and be reunited with their twolegs!
