HUZZAH HUZZAH!!! I finally was able to pick them up from the library. Crookedstars Promise and Yellowfangs Secret. Which should I read first? I'm thinking CP.

Read Crookedstar's Promise, then return both to the library. Yellowfang's Secret is awful, especially if you're a fan of Yellowfang.

I read Crookedstar's Promise right before Yellowfang's Secret. Personally, I think I was the only one who was bored with Crookedstar's Promise (I think it's the only Warriors book I've ever read that I put down halfway through and had to pick up again to reread and finish a few years later because I had lost interest in it). But I enjoyed Yellowfang's Secret.....

Maybe read Yellowfang's Secret first, then Crookedstar's Promise. If you like to go chronologically that is.

Yellowfang's Secret first so you can drown out the memories of how dissapointing it is with Crookedstar's Promise.

If you're expecting for Crookedstar to have to choose between good and evil in the book, prepare to be disappointed (like I was). Everyone's posting about three weeks after the original post so she's probably read them both by now anyways...

Crookedstar's Promise is easily the better choice. I mean the book was very heartbreaking and tragic the first time I read it. You should definitely read that one before Yellowfang's Secret.

I have to say, YS broke my heart, and I'm a huge fan of Maple now because of CP (I always liked evil figures *rubs hands together evily*). Both were great though. I also read Tallstars Revenge. My previous judgement that Jake is a stuck up dad who doesn't have a care in the world for his kits, stands. How dare you Jake. How. Dare. You. (Scroll down) I bet he was the reason that Scourge was evil. He was never there to stop Socks' and Ruby's bullying. *Give shameful head shake*

I have yet to read Tallstar's revenge or Yellowfang's secret, which one was better?

Haha, tbh I don't know. I guess it's hidden in my coding or whatever. I think YS is better. Mainly cause I hate Jake. Yellowfangs secret was full of heartbreak and very emotional. Tallstars Revenge was kinda like, 'oh you killed my dad so I'm seeking revenge.' (Sparrow didn't actually kill Sandgorse, which kinda ruined the book for me.) BRING ON THE BLOODSHED SAYS I Whereas in YS Yellowfang had actual struggles. She had to deal with her magical powers, making her loose her mate. She really had no choice in being a medicine cat, because of something that cursed her, condemning her to a life that she didn't want. All in all, I think that YS is better. CP is better than both of them though.
