After Snowstar's breakdown, a rival clan decides to take advantage of the clans momentary weakness and attack the camp. Mossystar's leads the attack and it is revealed that he still loves Snowstar and seeks vengeance for losing her to clan and now to Dawnstar. In the battle Mossystar takes 2 lives from Dawnstar and Smokegaze, Shadowheart, and Mudrain are killed. Snowstar's condition worsens even more.
