Goldenstrike watched her get up, then smiled and got up as well. He quietly followed behind her, ducking into the apprenticeβs den with her. Of course she would know the best ways out of camp, or else she would have been caught a lot more often. Brushing aside several loose branches, Bluepool exited through the backside of the brush, pointing out a small hole through the growth behind it. She turned to look Goldenstrike over. "Uhm... it's a tight fit, even for me... you'll have to do a lot of squeezing!" She laughed as she went towards the opening, tugging herself out with her front paws. "I, uh... made this when I was an apprentice so that explains the size." She gave a 'whoops!' smile to Goldenstrike as she stood on the other side, waiting for him.

"Heh, anything you want in particular?" Softlight asked Stormtangle. He lay down what he had done with some of the herbs, ready to get whatever Stormtangle desired from the fresh-kill pile. He enjoyed her company, and found her a kindred spirit to himself in several aspects. He felt his chest burn for a moment, surprising him, before shoving it away, his face flushed. (lmao i love daisypaw) "Um... a vole would be nice." Stormtangle said shyly. She was deeply grateful to Softlight for not just saving her life, but also staying to take care of her in her time of need. His company and positivity was all that was keeping her happy right now, and she suddenly realized how important the tom actually was to her. The she-cat felt her ears grow hot as she thought about this, surprising herself with just how strongly she felt about Softlight. "Super choice," Softlight said, mimicking it as if Skystar said it, and bounded out of the den to find Stormtangle what she wanted. He looked the pile over carefully, finding the freshest, juiciest looking vole he could find from the top of the pile. For himself, he drug out a measly-looking mouse from near the bottom, shrugging to himself, and brought them back over towards the medicine den. He entered happily for having found such a prize on the pile, and placed it gently at the she-cats paws.

[Alright, big step for our boy Deerleg here. At the end feel free to say 'yikes'.]
Deerleg couldn't focus on what she had said about the river. The look in her eyes, giving off a feeling of unknowing, but wondrous to him at the same time. His legs trembled as his body returned the gesture she had made unconsciously, brushing his cheek against hers. Once he realized what he had just done, he pulled away and almost lunged backwards in surprise. He had no words at this point; he was simply confused and smitten all at once. The desire to be with Robinwhisper was so great it overthrew his usual personality. Smallpaw's words rung in his ears, and he knew he wasn't getting younger as he waited for Robinwhisper to scream she loved him from the top of a tree, but he hadn't expected himself to do something so bold. He looked at her, worrying she would take off in another direction. He wanted to turn back time.

Skystar nodded to Hawkjaw, and waited for Flightpaw to come back over to his side. Once the young tom did, Skystar stood tall in the center of camp. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a Clan meeting!" The leader's voice rang around him, calling all cats within the camp clearly. The dusk light made the whole scene look serene.

"Thank you." Stormtangle purred, happy to dig in to such a juicy looking vole. She pulled the prey over to her muzzle and took a mouthful, letting the taste bathe her senses. She wanted to eat ravenously from how hungry she was, but knew if would probably make her sick if she did, so she took small bites and chewed slowly.

"I'm sure we won't be missing too much..." Bluepool whispered, turning north. She gave another refreshing smile to Goldenstrike, before she laughed and started bounding off. She was not a good runner, nor did she much appreciate it, but her light job let her feel a little more liberated. "Come on!" she called, happily back to Goldenstrike.

"I'd drag the body elsewhere, but..." Dreamwave trailed off, scrunching up her nose in disgust. "I certainly can't with that stench!" She looked the mangled body over, not noticing any bulges indicating broken bones, either. "I wonder... if a twoleg poisoned it?" she thought outloud. "Either way, let's go back to camp for now and alert Skystar. He'll let us know what he wants us to do."

Paintpaw padded away from the medicine den, knowing what was happening and why Skystar was calling the meeting. She figured that, since it was nearing night, not only would he name Flightpaw as a warrior, but also give condolences for the passing of Blossomkit. The tiny little she-kit had received her name, but not a breath of air. Paintpaw felt pretty sad all of a sudden as she joined her other clanmates.

Softlight settled in the soft dirt beside Stormtangle. He carefully watched her eat, hoping she'd enjoy it and be able to hold down the meal. After he was satisfied at her chewing, he decided to start his meal as well. He chewed at the same pace as the she-cat, not wanting to finish way before her.

Strawberryleaf'd been following the patrol, having fallen behind to watch the river and surrounding areas as the other she-cats talked. Wrinkling her nose as she stood next to Dreamwave, looking down at the loner's body, she shook her head roughly. "Don't touch them, we don't know what in Starclan they could have or if its infectious. We should get back to camp and tell Skystar about this and the rising river too, we could be in trouble because of either of these things." She warned, stepping back and shaking her head, turning on her toes to head back to camp, fur fluffed up nervously.

((LMAO i tried not to make him old mannish but heβs tired and silver so rip lol))
Goldenstrike looked back at camp, then purred and bounded after her. He hadnβt had a reason to run in a few moons, and the colder wind felt good on his fur. Plus, Bluepool already sounded so much happier. βIβm coming!β he laughed as he quickly caught up to her.

LMAO]
The blue-gray she-cat sent a few looks back to him, and before she knew it he was by her side. Her breathing became labored now, trying to find her way over obstacles that were tucked underneath the fallen leaves that littered the ground. She bounded through several piles, making them scatter as she did, relishing in the moment and admiring the colors of them all as they flitted to the ground. She was panting and laughing simultaneously, which probably made for quite the sound and sight, but she was simply enjoying the time.

Having already turned around without words from Strawberryleaf, Dreamwave wanted to get back to camp quickly. She made sure Autumnpaw was at her side first, worried about the apprentice--as odd as that may be, and wanting to hurry back. The strange happenings were possible signs of a horrid Leafbare season on the way.

"As most of you are already aware, Flightpaw has been in training for many moons now. I'd say he is even overdue for his ceremony. He did well in his assessment, and his mentors and I think it's time he receive his warrior name." Skystar padded over to the orange tom, who stood tall and proud as Skystar addressed him. "I, Skystar, leader of GroveClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Flightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Skystar heard the very confidence that Flightpaw displayed vibrate through his words as he said, 'I do.'
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Flightpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Flightwhisker. StarClan honors your strength and dependability, and we welcome you as a full warrior of GroveClan."

Paintpaw cheered, calling out to the newly-named warrior. "Flightwhisker! Flightwhisker! Flightwhisker!" She couldn't be happier for the tom, though she was jealous he got to finish his training with her own mentor. It made no difference to her in the end, as she knew he would be a fantastic addition with his new warrior name.

Goldenstrike jumped through his own piles of leaves, wanting to make the loudest crunches possible. He hadnβt been so carefree in a long time, not since he was a loner. He was reminded of playing through the leaves with his mother, and being taught how to fight in them. Every once and a while Goldenstrikeβs pelt brushed with Bluepoolβs, and his already ecstatic heart would beat faster.

Out of breath before they could even reach the Moon Pool, Bluepool collapsed into a clump of leaves below a tall oak tree. "I can't... keep going..." she huffed. "Let's give up... on the Moon Pool idea..." she said, gasping for breath. She's laugh in between breaths when she had enough air, then continue her cycle several more times to try and be able to breathe. She rolled over onto her side, and once she caught her breath, she rolled onto her back and batted a few leaves in the air. For a few moments, the only sound was her light breathing as she continued to let her lungs catch up. "Hey, Goldenstrike... have you ever wanted a mate?" she asked, not looking at him as she focused on her leaf.

He had comforted her looming thoughts with his caress. The feeling of his cheek pressed against hers was a warm and lovely one; a feeling she hadn't quite encountered before because it was purely instinct and organic rather than a mechanical thing done over and over again like with the loner. He had pulled away so quickly though! "Is something wrong?" she asked innocently, stepping once more closer to him. She hoped she hadn't frightened him with her words about the river's tumbling water.

He sent a happy smile around at all of them, thanking them with small dips of his head as he padded away from his leader, taking a seat beside some of the other warriors. Hawkjaw partook in the calling of Flightwhisker's new name with pride. Seeing the orange tom flaunt a new name gave him hope for the future of Groveclan. He hoped many more apprentice's would be just as happy to appease the clan. He calmly approached Flightwhisker as he sat near the other warriors, beaming with an almost fatherly pride. "Are you ready for your vigil tonight?" he teased, his thick tabby tail lashing with amusement.

Shocked, relieved, and disappointed all at once, Deerleg shook his head rather quickly. "N-no! Nothing's wrong. I, uh, just thought I heard something..." he meowed lamely, twitching his ears in another direction as if he had. "I-I think it must have been a fat rabbit... or something. No big deal." He gave a weak smile to Robinwhisper, turning his eyes back to the water solemnly.

"Yeah, sounds fun," Flightwhisker replied jokingly. "My favorite things to do are definitely staying awake, being silent, and not eating." He awaited Skystar's continuation of the Clan meeting, feeling slightly guilty about how happy he was feeling. He knew at the same time, that he'd be entrusted to bury the tiny kit who's passing vigil was the same night, along with a medicine cat.
