I love all these unique weaponry! I wonder if anyone will use a club, axe, ore spear? (I also heard nets were used somewhere...)

Oh wow, I popped over here to read the newest pages after you mentioned you'd be posting them here on your DeviantArt, but I wasn't expecting to run into my design's cameo! So cool to see that design in your comic, with her yellow under-eye spots, and her little earing. And I adore the design of the Southern Kingdom armor, especially that cool neck-thing, and the cool sword. Good for Percy, refusing to give up Mock's location even with all of this nonsense. It does look pretty grim for him though - Mockingbirdpaw is busy being injured on the surface, so I doubt she's coming to the rescue, and any winged cat who would sympathise with him has already been banished. Maybe Aurora will show up and help him somehow? But otherwise, I don't see this ending well for him. Here's hoping for the best, though. |

My northern kingdom folks will be using axes, so if one of them shows up, you'll get to see that (one was already shown on page 68)! And idk if I'll include it, but net fighting is actually really interesting (i'd actually heard of it before when I just happened to be looking up gladiators and the wiki article on tridents led to the net page)- they're called retiarii in latin! Woot woot! Page 100! I was excited for her cameo since you put so much effort into research for her design- like the name and specifically picking out an Egyptian Mau (fun fact Mau is actually the egyptian word for 'cat' but whats funny is 'mau' just kinda sounds like a cat sound so maybe some ancient egyptian guy was like 'hey what are you' to a cat and the cat was like 'mau' and the guy was like 'huh okay') (another fun fact, the sword is called a khopesh!) and yeah things aren't looking too good for our boy! maybe he can scrape by with another win, but will that even get him out of this predicament? |

Ah I'm glad you came by and just happened to see her! Thanks, I'm really glad you liked the design, and it's great to see it here. Huh, I'd kinda heard that about it being the word for cat before, but it is funny to think of them naming it after the sound it makes. And Egyptian Maus are such pretty cats. And that sword is really neat. I don't know much about ancient weaponry, and even less about Ancient Egpyt in general, but it look cool as frick. Exactly, I doubt Daedalus will let him go even if he wins the whole tournament. I have no idea how he's getting out of this one. |

School's starting again for me on Monday (8/26)! but its my senior year of college so that'll be... interesting. But good news is I have no classes on Fridays this semester, so more time for me to do comic pages! Since I'm spending time packing today and driving tomorrow, next KC page (101) will be up monday!

That’s what Percy is actually to the eastern Kingdom- he teaches combat training, which is seen in TU. According to real gladiatorial arenas, I think they’d be slaves actually, but we’re not here for total historical accuracy here at Hawktalon comics |
