I am so sorry Hawk! I really am, I know what it’s like to lose pets, I consider them family. We had a dog named Sam, who sense I was four was my best friend, he passed a few years ago, but I spent 10+ years of my life with him, and he saved my life many times during my life. What i’m Saying is that while a loss is hard, you keep going for them, because it’s what they would want. I’m sure no one cares about a delay, anyone and probably everyone should or does want you to put your emotions before a page. We all love you, and I’m very sorry for your loss.

thank you all for your kind words. i'm still not doing super great, but thank you all so much for understanding about the delay. my other dog, Molly has been getting a lot of love (it was actually her birthday today, I got her two tennis balls as a present) and I've been trying to distract myself.
I have work wednesday, and oddly enough, maybe that'll help me feel better by just like not being home. If that's true, I think I could work on friday's page this week. I'll try my best, I do still really want to get KC actually started, but it'll take some time now...
but again, thank you all so much for your kind words and understanding

i'm just now realizing that i've never played with the insane day/night cycle that Alaska has in my comics. like for instance, now in June, in Denali (i don't have a specific place, but denali national park has some pretty close landscapes to what I do. they're really just alaska in general, and plus i've been to denali, so I know what it looks like) the sun rises at 4:25 AM and sets at 11:24 PM. which is a bit late for sunset, but it gets weirder
in December, the sun rises at 9:45 AM and sets at 3:49 PM. that's only 6 hours of daylight, which is insane
idk if i'll implement this in my comics, but its still p fun to know about
