I'm rereading OotS, and it's so weird to know that the Three no longer have their powers anymore. It even feels kind of cruel to me, because their powers are a part of who they are, and now they have been taken away. I remember at one point in AVOS, Jayfeather pointed out to Alderheart that he can't read his mind, and that just feels so weird to me now. Honestly, what's the point? It caused a lot of problems, and I think everyone lost confidence in themselves, especially Dovewing. I don't know if she would have stayed in ThunderClan if she still had her powers, but she definitely lost confidence in herself after losing them. I don't know how Lionblaze took it since he barely has any screen time, but Jayfeather seemed annoyed about it as well when he lost his powers.
What do you think? Should their powers have been taken away, or should they have stayed?

I think it’s cruel too. I really don’t like that they lost their powers - maybe not so Lionblaze since i can see the unfair advantage, but for Jayfeather and Dovewing it’s jusf cruel. Jayfeather is already blind and he used his powers to really interact a lot with the world. It’s one of the reasons (I think) he can see in his dreams. To deprive him of that, such a big part of him, is sad. Same for Dovewing - when her powers were overwhelmed when she returned from the mountains she struggled with doing average things because she felt deaf. To lose such a huge part of her senses is horrible. The scene in BrS where she’s calling out in the tunnels made me so sad

(psst Jayfeather's power was not mind-reading)
Taking away their powers may be cruel but from a storytelling standpoint I'm glad they're gone. Otherwise we'd have the other Clans constantly complaining how unfair it is to have a cat that can't be beaten and they'd always accuse ThunderClan to spy on them with Dovewing. Everything ThunderClan does would continue to be about their powers and that gets old fast

I have mix feelings about it because I liked how they had their powers to help them, but after the battle I feel like the other clan will gain up and attack Thunderclan because they have cats who has powers and they might think that they’ll be a threat to them.

I don't think it's unfair. If anything, it's worse for Lionblaze and Jayfeather over Dovewing.

Not like their power so really helped the plot ever. Dovewing did, but eventually they could have followed the river to its source without knowing about beavers. An medicine cat could’ve just gotten a regular old prophecy about it. Jayfeather was nosy and Lionblaze was pompous. Dovewing felt insecure when she had them. Not having them is better in my mind

In OotS he's able to read lots of thoughts and see their memories when they're thinking. It's been a while since I've read OotS though

I'm glad they lost their powers. Having characters with those abilities as the story moves forward would require too much of the plot to keep focusing on them, even when we're supposed to be getting to know new characters. I thought Dovewing's Silence was a great way to give those powers a sendoff and I think Jayfeather's coping just fine without his "mind reading". Frankly I don't care much about the other two.
