If I recall correctly, Smokepaw of ShadowClan was the only cat who died while on the journey. Do you think more cats should've died? If so, who?

Yeah, it's strange that almost everyone make it, despite the books/cats later in PO3/OOTS saying multiple times that it was perilous and dangerous. I'm all for miracles, but dang...especially when they were stuck out in the snow and near-freezing for ages with hawks swooping down on them, before the Tribe found them. It should've been more like Hawkwing's Journey, where cats were disappearing/leaving/getting caught (they crossed massive fields with Twoleg activity!) left and right. After all, the cats who were captured before were rescued, excluding Graystripe, so that's just two casualties. Hell, even thenhis capture happened before the journey, so I don't count that.
As for who...I have no clue, honestly ;p I'm just all for more drama and death.

Yeah.
If I recall correctly, the only other close call was a ShadowClan kit getting grabbed by...an eagle? Or was it a falcon? Point is said kit survived anyway.
Yeah, it was a perilous journey, but at least a few more deaths wouldn’t have hurt.

Warriors books these days are NOT meeting their blood-and-guts quota. :-P I demand more death, Erin's! Let's jazz it up a bit too. Less badger attacks, greencough bouts . . . more underbelly's sliced up with innards exposed, eagles carrying away cats, you get the idea.

Maybe Firestar could have a 3rd kit, who dies during the Journey. That would be something to talk about.

YES. Absolutely. ThunderClan should have lost some cats. Someone older like Dustpelt or Cloudtail.

Yes! The journey was just underwhelming. More deaths would have made it more interesting and justify the build-up.

It's alright in my view because at that point the population wasn't nearly as bad as it is now. also a lot of cats died while they were in the forest and some more died in the badger attack and shortly after they got to the lake. that's plenty in my opinion.
