Stormtail was loyal to Thunderclan and was said to be an important warrior that sometimes shared prey with the leader and apparently was a good hunter too. Anyways, Should Stormtail have been made deputy? Why and what might have changed if he'd become leader?

Stormtail was deputy at the time Bluestar's Prophecy began. And as for being leader, I honestly can't see him being one... He was responsible and skilled, but didn't hold a lot of emotional attachment to anyone, I remember (even prioritizing his position over his mate and kits). And a leader need some emotional attachment to their cats to function, so I'm not sure that would've worked out...

Sunfall was the ThunderClan deputy at the start of the book, though Stormtail was a respected warrior who interacted with Pinestar a lot

Pinestar's deputies were Mumblefoot, and then Sunfall, whose deputies were Tawnyspots, Adderfang (temporarily), and Bluefur.

Oops… I misremembered the quote where Moonflower tells her kits that her father is too busy to bring them treats… I thought it was because he was deputy, but it was just because he was close to the deputy and leader… But if he was already a senior warrior, then he probably would've been too old to take that position anyway…

He's been shown as aggressive and an instigator towards the other Clans. I can definitely see him starting unnecessary trouble. He seems to be pretty prideful too and that doesn't mix well with leadership.
