1) What's your opinion on her?
2) Do you think she handled the situation with Thistleclaw right?
3) Was she a good leader, even after Tigerstar betrayed her?
4) Do you think she deserves to be forgiven?

1) What's your opinion on her? She's awesome. I actually really liked her regalness in the first few books. You really got the sense that she was meant to be a leader because of her level-headedness. She seemed fair but strict and was a good mentor to Firepaw. I also think Bluestar's Prophecy was one of the best super editions ever. I loved seeing the beginning of the clan, her relationship with all of the cats back then (who all seemed to have a personality) and Snowfur/Whitestorm story. She was also totally supposed to be with Thrushpelt, what a nice guy. I wonder why he passed away and how she felt about it.
2) Do you think she handled the situation with Thistleclaw right? I think she saw he was dangerous and Thistlestar would have been bad. It might have really caused the downfall of the clans if that had happened, then Tigerstar would have definitely been leader of ThunderClan (I would think he'd choose him... I was sad about her kits, though. She should have nursed them, but had Thrushpelt pull a Fernsong and just watch them in the nursery while she became deputy. But it might not have convinced Sunfall.
3) Was she a good leader, even after Tigerstar betrayed her? I think she totally snapped. I'm guessing she put too much faith in him. I think that's where she wasn't careful. She was not a good leader after that because she did the whole Lostface thing, only trusted Fireheart and Cloudtail at some points and I guess it was too much for her.
4) Do you think she deserves to be forgiven? I do, she was a more interesting character for sure than any of the other leaders we've had, like Bramblestar (boring...) and I think she handled the kits thing correctly with Oakheart and was able to give them a nice life with RiverClan and Graypool.
Whoo, typed an essay! xD

1. I like her. She was a wise and mainly reasonable leader, and her backstory was really interesting.
2. Well...she did see Thistleclaw as a future danger to the Clan. On one hand, we hadn't seen Thistleclaw's view on the whole situation. But on the other hand, I don't think she was willing to risk seeing Thisleclaw become a Thistlestar.
3. To be honest, she went nuts when Tigerstar betrayed her and ThunderClan, so...she wasn't the great leader that she had been. Paranoid, temperamental, trusting only Fireheart, and renaming Brightpaw to Lostface...that's a big skid on her record.
4. Continuing from above: In spite of what Bluestar's done, I think she's deserved some forgiveness. In the end, she ends up regaining her sanity and saves Fireheart from the dogs, as well as finally making up with Mistystar and Stonefur. So I think of Bluestar as an opposite to Mapleshade.

I don't remember much about her. It's been a while since I've read the first arc and I stopped reading Bluestar's Prophecy halfway and forgot about it, so I'll have to re-read them again.

1) What's your opinion on her? >> I don't care for her after she became a crap leader near the end.
2) Do you think she handled the situation with Thistleclaw right? >> Absolutely not.
3) Was she a good leader, even after Tigerstar betrayed her? >> I was neutral on her before, but after the Tiger incident, I couldn't stand her. I did felt at least sympathetic to her death scene, but it was more so toward Misty, Stone and Fire.
4) Do you think she deserves to be forgiven? I guess that bar is pretty low. But I still don't like her backstory nor her behavior following Tiger's attack.

1. Bluestar is a perfect example of a character that I think is far more intriguing if taken as a failure. Seeing her have lofty dreams and pride that slowly crumble to being a paranoid wreck is more impactful than just being a temporarily weakened great leader. If taken as an antagonist, which she is, then she's pretty cool as a tragic figure of such a stalwart figure snapping under the pressure.
2. Not in the least, but it's more interesting that way to have a Bluestar who actually does have the flaws that Thunderclan is supposed to have.
3. Bluestar was overall a good old guard leader, but was left in the dust by the changes to clan culture made by Firestar. And post Tigerstar, she was just flat out an antagonist for how atrocious her leadership was.
4. Bluestar earned forgiveness by throwing herself at that dog, I think.
