No one ever talks about this guy. Unfortunately due to the small screen time he's had, there's not much to ask about him.
1) What's your opinion on him?
2) Is he a good father & mate to Daisy?

1.) I'm pretty neutral to Spiderleg, I remember him being Dustpelt's son and I thought that was cool. I think he deserved more time in the clan and time to actually become an elder at some point (along with the ancient senior warriors currently)
2.) I think he was a good father. I don't actually remember anything about Rosepetal and Toadstep to be honest. They were very background characters. I thought him and Daisy had a weird thing for a while but lots of cats have chosen a different second mate so it should be no different for him deciding to break things off with her.

I think he was okay, and even if he could've been a better dad, he's not the worst dad out there.
And it was also weird in how The Last Hope says that he's already getting old when he was around...I guess six years old or something. My two oldest dachshunds didn't get their muzzles gray until they were eight.

I thought the dynamic between him and Daisy was weird, even though it's considered more realistic as far as cats are concerned... As far as my opinion on him, it's a shame he didn't make it to elder age, and that so many of his siblings died young... I would've loved to see interactions between them, but there's hardly any even in the short time they are alive...

Apparently Firestar is thinking he might be getting ready to join the elders soon?? Also even though he was mentored by Mousefur, Thornclaw was as well and was still around. I mean Thornclaw, Brightheart, Cloudtail, Brackenfur (especially), and Bramblestar are all older than Spiderleg (who was born in The New Prophecy I believe) and Squirrelflight, Leafpool, Whitewing are all the same age as him. |

He wasn't the best dad, but he tried, even if it didn't work. He probably wasn't meant for fatherhood or something I guess. And yeah Daisy deserved better imo.

1) I think he is alright, but nothing about him stands out too much. I really like his name though.
2) I think it was interesting to see a cat that wasn't a natural at being a father (I find it funny that Spiderleg is the son of the cat that is one of the best fathers). I mean he was cranky when Toadkit and Rosekit were playing around him or wanting to play with him, but I mean he did try? Once I think? I can't remember if he tried beyond that. Honestly, we don't see much of his relationship with his kits because he is a background character. Daisy deserved better though, especially given that apparently Spiderleg still loved her? I dunno, I guess he is the type that isn't great with his feelings and emotions.
