Jake's bisexuality is a clear representation of the good and evil divided between his two sons.
Firestar, the one who represents gayness and coming out of the closet, proves homophobia wrong and saves the Clans with the power of love. And having an extra life, but still.
Scourge, with his clear anti-gay agenda, represents the straight and narrow, as well as how his anti-gay crusade, being represented as taking over the Clans, will never prevail to the power of love (and extra lives).
It is clearly seen that Jake is the Father, while Scourge and Firestar are his Sons. Gay and Straight collide, but in the end, hatred cannot overcome love.
And of course, a fire dude who cheats and has an extra life. Scourge calls illegal hacking.
