I literally remember jack crud from the original series, but rereading it now, Graystripe literally called Fireheart over to the nursery just so he could beat him up over a girl he shouldn't have been seeing in the first place. Fireheart has a lot of patience and I just, poor Fireheart.

I hate Graystripe now. Ever since he came back, he's been nothing but boring and lazy. And in The Last Hope, he turns back into an immature baby because Silverstream is there and made a horrible comment about being together again even though Graystripe has Millie and Millie just had to stand there like "wtf." He has taken Millie for granted and he wasn't at all AS UPSET as millie was about Briarlight. He also isn't seen talking to BUmblestripe when he was having his issues, or even Blossomfall.

Anyone who says Graystripe is a bad father because we don't see scenes of him with his kits better consider Birchfall, Whitestorm, Lionheart, Lionblaze, Snowbush, Thornclaw and almost every other background tom bad fathers too. I hardly see any fathers with their kits, but does it make them bad fathers? No. They're just background characters who get no focus. Unless the 3 B's specifically state that Graystripe is absent in their lives, I don't believe a single word.

I thought Birchfall did have some nice interactions when the series focused around his kids? Also Graystripe be old. He's been in every book. His kits are getting old too. But I honestly can't remember any father/son/daughter interactions between him and his new kits, not like his first litter. All I remember is Millie being awful to Blossom and then everyone turning a blind eye about the whole Dovewing/Bumblestripe thing. |

Heck, he joined the Dark Forest for training even though his own daughter was there. Snowbush had plenty of book time to be shown with his kits, as did plenty of other cats. They didn't because they are background cats. Greystripe is a background cat. He has no reason to be focused on that much. |

Yeah I agree, I think the only time I don't think he's excused was when Millie tore into Blossomfall in front of the whole clan, it was noted Graystripe had come into camp from a patrol. So either he didn't see the whole thing, or he just was forgotten by the editors??
