Lol but Mary-Sues have to be perfect and loved by alot of people.
Dovewing is neither of those!

She's just whiny for the most part. But some might think that she gets more than she deserves because they don't like her character. -Powers -Two toms pining after her -Selected to go on heroic journeys etc

when someone calls my daughter a sue I'll be sure to do my damned hardest to protect her and point out all the flaws she ever experienced

I never did understand that logic, I don't like Dove, but how is she a mary sue? The closest cats we've gotten to Mary Sues in the series were Star Flower and Jessy.

I think people called her a sue because she had 2 toms padding after her.... I can't really remember though. Plus she was really good at hunting before she lost her powers, and she was loved by everyone. I suppose it makes sense but she's always had flaws. It's just not obvious, I guess.

I find that silly, as she is a flawed character (which isn't a bad thing). They might assume she is a mary-sue because of her power and because two toms have padded after her, but really Dovewing became a good hunter and scout because of her power and had to deal with growing up too early, growing attached to her power and then losing it. Many people were annoyed she acted like her power was a curse and then seemed to struggle and miss it, that is definitely not what a mary-sue would do.
