What did the Three (Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Dovewing) do in the end to save the Clans? It's been many years since I read POT and OOTS, so a refresher on that would be much appreciated! :-)
On a related note -- do you think the Three and their powers were really necessary for the Clans to defeat the Dark Forest cats? And what was the purpose of having a fourth cat (Firestar)? He totally robbed Ivypool of that position.

Lionblaze managed to save his own pelt in the battle and literally no one else. Dovewing used her senses to locate the DF warriors and Jayfeather healed cats and played a great part in figuring out the prophecy. Firestar actually did nothing out of the ordinary besides taking part in the last duel of the fight and having an epic death. Ivypool, however, mapped out the DF's plans and helped the Clans prepare for the fight by showing them complicated moves and whatnot. If you ask me, it should be called the prophecy of Jayfeather and Ivypool with a touch of Dovewing.

They honestly did nothing. If they didn't have their powers literally nothing would change.

She at least did more than the three, who were hyped up for no real reason. Jayfeather, imo, is the only one of the three that actually did something really significant, uniting StarClan, time traveling, etc. While Lion not so much, and Dove is wasted potential. Hollyleaf was only useful during the Sol problem, unfortunately, but I still believe Lion should have died, not her.

The unbeatable warrior being not just beaten but killed...if they had made the battle longer, more riveting, and written all the Clans into the chapters, it would've shown us that the stakes were extremely high. I never would've expected a main character to die like that, and with both him and Firestar dying, I'd have probably been more tense and nervous while reading the battle.

Certainly deserves hell of alot more credit than the Three, who did practically nothing. Dovewing's powers were wasted, Jayfeather's were wasted, and Lionblaze hardly fought? Yeah, okay. The only ones who I even remember doing anything are Hollyleaf and Ivypool. Ironic. The two without powers easily did more.
