To be completely honest, I'm still super salty by what they've done to Alderheart recently. This character had the potential to be a decent one with a personality that people can relate to, but now he's just thrown aside. What was the point in having Three medicine cats, then? Now his character's just... revolving around romance and so on. While I admit I really did enjoy reading him being a father-figure to Twigbranch, it just feels like he's... there to me? What happened to him in RoF especially made me salty, because the whole thing felt pointless to me. Alderheart was a good character, and now they're just tossing his character aside and develop him using romance like they did with all of the others. I'm just... really disappointed.

I don't think he's all about romance. that's a bit unfair because the romance is clearly over and was only ever a small subplot in river of fire. however i think they did pretty much erase his personality after the first half of apprentice's quest

Alderheart's in love??? Okay. Haven't gotten ahold of RoF yet. He is definitely not the type. Okay, I hate to feel like a parrot but...I agree with you. I know in The Apprentice's Quest only his PoV was featured, but I really liked him. The whole self-doubting thing was relatable. But now...the spotlight's shifted to Twigpaw and Violetshine, and he's literally just an extra who, like I said somewhere else, mollycoddles Twigpaw.
Erin 1: Okay, I have no idea what we're going to do next to Alderheart.
Erin 2: Easy. Why don't we find a nice she-cat not from TC for him?

Yeah, I heard about how he's got a very brief love interest, and I'm really hoping that that doesn't happen in the future. And I also really don't like how Alderheart got bumped to the side as basically a side character. They did good in making Gray Wing an important POV character in Dawn Of The Clans, so...what happened with Alderheart?

I'm wondering why they even have us focused on his POV anymore. I feel bad for saying that, because his character is fine, but it seems like they want to focus on Twig and Violet. With two POV from the same clan and one from a different clan, it is pretty weird. I feel like they should have ditched Alder's POV in River of Fire.

I still like him a lot as a character. I wish there was as much focus on him as on Twigbranch and Violetshine. Cut Twigbranch and focus more on Alderheart, I say.

I still like him? I haven’t read ROF yet, but his personality hasn’t really diminished in my opinion. Sure, he’s taken a back seat in action, but medicine cats generally take back-seats in regards to action, anyway. (Or they’re supposed to.)

No, no they're not. They are treating poor Alderheart like a side character. I like Twigbranch and Violetshine, but I love Alderheart! His pov was great in Apprentice quest. After A while he just into the background for the new two povs. I thought he was going to be the main character.

Honestly really upset too. It! Was! So! Unnecessary! Alder already had a small crush on Needletail. That's enough.
Also, I agree, his pov is useless now :/

ok. i still love him with all my heart but they really did him wrong. i like twig and violet but the fact that they have literally all the spotlight annoys me so so much because alderhearts pov is completely pointless now. and yes, the romance with velvet is awful. just no.
