At least the main arc with all the "current" cats should have ended there. Am I the only one who thinks this?
I'm not trying to be contrarian or spark an argument, that's just honestly what I think. Especially the way it finished on the very last page, reading out the whole prophecy and all. Now it just seems like the series is dragging
Thoughts?

Imo if the series had to end eariler then it should have been after Dawn with maybe Dotc still been arould as a prequel becuse OOTS sucked and that being the end of the series would have pained me.

Yeah it really should've ended at either OoTS or DoTC, pretty sure that was where it was SUPPOSED to end as well.

I think OoTS shouldn't have happened (hehe I say this a lot....) I think they could have summed up the series into Power of Three (condensed it) and then they could have ended it with Firestar passing away. But I'm all for a new series, but I think a larger time skip should have happened. I would be okay if they had some new kits, descendants of Firestar or whatnot, but with all of the cats we liked from the original arc as elders and then giving characterization to the newer generation.

I don't mind the newest arcs, but I think it would've made the most sense if the series had begun with the introduction of Rusty, and ended when he died as Firestar.

I like some of the new AVoS characters, but I think the series should have ended with The Last Hope and a better-written version of Bramblestar’s Storm to show how the Clans are doing after the battle.

Yeah, I think the series should have ended after OOTS/DOTC . . . but HarperCollins doesn't care about telling a meaningful story and moving on so much as they do about milking their cash cow to death (and then some more.) xP

I know a lot of people have negative feelings about OOTS and the last hope (I am one of them admittedly) but I’ll admit reading the last hope’s final chapter choked me up the first time. I loved the lines it ended on and closed the series nicely. I know Harper is money machine, and I wouldn’t have minded if they carried on the series DOTC style.

If OOTS had been better written, then definitely, at least chronologically. However, I (was) glad that they finally included the reunification of the 5 Clans in VoS. IMO they should've been able to condense PoT, OotS and VoS in 2 arcs easily - just cut out the filler books like Outcast, The Fourth Apprentice, and Sign of the Moon.
DOTC is my favourite arc though, so I'm glad that they had that. But the lake stories should have ended there, and perhaps instead continue to expand on other groups of cats in super editions/novellas.

Should've ended right after DOTC. It was a nice closure. BrS should've been about the storm and where the Clans are now, not just the storm. AVOS and TBC is just overdoing it, to be honest. I wish SkyClan had stayed in the gorge, the forest just doesn't feel right for them.
