It fell apart because of Needletail and the blatant bias for Tigerstar. That's the only part of AVOS i hate. Everything else is fine, and way better than PoT or OOTS.
I like Rowanstar more than Blackstar tbh, but I think both were good leaders, though Rowan deserved WAY better.

This is how I've always felt about the series, actually. I just found it to be okay. I could never get into the first arc, but I liked TNP, PoT, DotC, and some parts of AVoS. However, the series really should've ended with OotS, at least of the main storyline, anyway.
