(Light, if you want I can make a character who is closer to Hope's age. I haven't done younger characters in a while so it could be fun. Don't know exactly how the class system works, but they could either be a servant/commoner's child or the child of a noble/high ranking person depending on what sounds interesting.) (P.S. I know she's currently interacting with Ruby but maybe it could happen later.)  } |

{ Sweet, I was thinking maybe Edward was sent to kinda live in Vanhella and they grew up together ( maybe Gwyns mother worked in the kitchen and she brought him along ) and then when Edward had to start his training he taught what he learned to Gwyn and got him into the royal guard } (Sounds good to me, so would Gwyn be a friend to both of them?)  } |

I'm totally up for other ideas though, that's just what came to mind initially.) |

The ginger elf gave his friend a big smile, " As a matter of fact, you are." Outside the throne room, Mason was waiting for his rider and Keagan to return. Ah, I see you have found him , came Masons voice in his head. Edward looked up at the red dragon. "I have found," he answered out loud.
Turning to his friend he studied him." Well, you haven't changed a bit. Maybe a little more rougher around the edges but nothing too bad," he joked giving a light chuckle. "Before you say anything, I'm sorry I did not tell you I was coming. It was supposed to be a surprise for you. Come I have brought you gifts from my kingdom," he said delightfully as he lead the way back to his chambers. "How is your dragon? And your parents? "

Ruby nodded to her," Yes you did. No one got you up on time. You over slept today." Walking down the hall, Ruby led Hope to the kitchen. Servants were bustling about the kitchen getting things prepared. Finding on of the cooks she smiled," Mary, is there anything quick that Hope could have before we head out today?"
Mary thought for a second before turning and putting a few things together. Handing her a plate it was filled with apple slices, a piece of bread with butter on it and some ham that had been freshly cooked.

"Oh," She said sadly. She sat down and smiled when she saw the dish, "Thanks!" She told the cook and was glad when Mary smiled cheerily. She quickly gobbled down the ham and the toast, then ate half the apple slices, "I'm full," She announced, "Can we go now?" She asked Ruby.

"Officially or are you just stealing me away?" He teased lightly with a faint smile as he felt the sun touch his skin. He looked over at the massive dragon that had linked with his dear friend. He ran a hand through his dark curls, smiling at the vocal announcement, unable to keep the grin off of his face now that they were away from prying eyes. His green eyes were sparkling with laughter even if he wanted to know why, exactly, he hadn't been told of his arrival.
He arched a brow when told that this was all a surprise for him, shaking his head in amusement, a small smirk touching his features. "I didn't know you where allowed to have surprises for a lowly guard," He teased lightly, even though he looked rather touched and pleased, before rolling his eyes. "Lissette was being indignant again," He defended himself, knowing he had bruises everywhere from the fall, not to mention the slightest limp as he strolled alongside him. "Gifts?" He echoed with a laugh, surprised at that one for sure, having the urge to step closer even if it would have been against the rules. As a guard he was required to stay a good foot or two away from his charges and any closer would have indicated an inappropriate relationship with them... so he fought the urge as his smile died down at the question. "Lissette is being... Lissette. But our commander is letting her out on more missions now. Right now she's resting after this mornings training session and my parents..." His father had disappeared not long after Edwards departure but there was no love lost there. They had never been close and his father had never been the kindest elf, either. In fact he was the reason why he'd lived on the streets for so long, estranged from his mother, until he found her once more and was brought back into the kitchens. His mother, on the other hand, had passed away the year prior when a strange illness had hit their people. Even Keagan had been effected, too ill to even be there for his mothers burial, only recently being put back onto full duties."I'm afraid they're no longer with us," He finally finished with a saddened smile, glancing towards him, trying to change the subject quickly since his heart was tearing apart at the thought of his mother. " Which quarters are you staying in?" He asked rapidly, focusing on that instead.
(Is it okay I added a small plague for the commoners? If not I can change her death!)
