Last one for the day.
No debating allowed. This is a topic where everyone is allowed to talk about Leafpool, and not expect people to argue about your opinion!
1) Do you like Leafpool?
2) Is her running away from her Clan understandable? Should she have been with Crowfeather?
3) Do you approve of Leaf x Crow?
4) How do you think she has developed as a character now?
5) Is she a good medicine cat?

1) Meh. I'm neutral tbh. 2) Not really, but pressure from Crow so.. I can't answer the second one.
3) This is the only forbidden love I generally like, I loved it ever sense starting the series in 3rd grade and its just stuck with me. Though I didn't like Crow after Sunset, too abusive and a jerk.
4) Being away from Crow. Blending into her own clan as a sorta bg character which I like. Idk. Not really development but...
5) Yes.

1. Simple answer: No. Long answer: She never grew on me, and her entire arc irritated me. The cat who was StarClan's budding nun is the one who breaks the warrior code and hides it away instead of doing the right thing, the one thing that yes, would have punished her, but would have allowed her too to be with her kits: to step down from becoming a medicine cat. She could have trained another cat in those two moons, it's not like the Clans have never been without a medicine cat before. There's more, but I digress.
2. It is understandable. She did love him, she did want to be with him, and she did believe that the Clan would be safe with Cinderpelt. Although she missed plenty of signs, she was in that moment acting upon her heart's desire and hoped it would work out for all. She also returned when she realised it was wrong.
3. No. Crowfeather was irritating enough and could have had an interesting arc with Nightcloud when Stormfur returned and saw him move on from Feathertail, and would have been redeemed far more easily without much difference to the plot. (Breezepelt can hate the others for the journey / being special?)
4. Having not read AVoS, I can't comment on this.
5. She's faithful to StarClan for the most part, but she's also... she's not Featherwhisker. Every medicine cat I compare to Featherwhisker now, and she doesn't match up. If I had to rank them all, she would be barely above Goosefeather out of the ThunderClan medicine cats alone, and I think he's probably the worst.

1) Do you like Leafpool? She got really boring
2) Is her running away from her Clan understandable? Should she have been with Crowfeather? No it is not understandable she knows she has one of the most important jobs in all the clans and wants to ditch it for her boyfriend? If it was a warrior I would be a bit harsher but forbidden romances got so old and were only exciting back in the TPB era. And also Firestar didn't punish her just because he's her daughter. Screw that bs he's a leader and has to be tough for the sake of his clan. And no she should've stayed single.
3) Do you approve of Leaf x Crow? No
4) How do you think she has developed as a character now? She's boring now
5) Is she a good medicine cat? She's good it's just ThunderClan has too many medicine cats and she has to die at one point.

1) Do you like Leafpool? Yes
2) Is her running away from her Clan understandable? Should she have been with Crowfeather? It’s not morally wrong to not be a clan cat, and considering running away with your forbidden love is honestly the best possible situation for anyone in the clans then sure, I get it.
3) Do you approve of Leaf x Crow? As long as they ran away.
4) How do you think she has developed as a character now? She’s more humble I think.
5) Is she a good medicine cat? Yes

1. I kind of dislike her, honestly. Yes, she was a main character, but before Starlight, she seemed to simply exist just to hear messages from StarClan and keep readers updated on prophecies and StarClan. Then she made some really stupid decisions and cats (including her) suffered for a long time. I don't hate her, but I also don't like her.
2. Well, she was at a point in her life where she was questioning whether the path she took was right and Crowfeather happened to confess his love for her at the same time. She was also young and reckless, so it's understandable. It was reckless, really stupid, and ruined her life, but it was still understandable. I honestly can't answer the second one because while they were sweet, and as much as I'd like for them to start a life together, ThunderClan would suffer a huge blow. Who would be medicine cat? How long would Brightheart fill in and balance her warrior duties before it became too much? And what about the three? Would they still be born with powers or would Squirrelflight have kits and the power would be transferred to them? StarClan seemed desperate about the kits staying in ThunderClan, so I guess not.
3. My answer is no. The way they fell in love was so sudden and very cheesy. Crowfeather seemed to like her for being like Feathertail personality-wise and Leafpool liked that someone loved her. After their breakup, they missed what could've been and fell more in love. It was a disaster, if you ask me. Yet, in the time they were together, they were awfully cute.
4. She realized her mistakes, I guess? She's matured but she will never fully let go of the past as when she got possessive over her kits when she saw them bonding with Squirrelflight or when she confessed to Crowfeather long after they moved on. Now, in VoS, she seems completely insignificant. I'm not sure what to think.
5. Yes. I mean, she gave up Crowfeather and her kits for her duties. She loved helping other cats.

4. kind of. she's matured.

1) Not really. She is the source of much of the unnecessary drama in Warriors. And the sad thing is, it could have all been avoided if she just told the truth (I mean, Firestar wasn't going to kick out his daughter and the clan's only medicine cat).
2) I understand she was going through her rebellious phase, but her decision to run away (and have sex with) Crowfeather was unreasonable, irresponsible, and not at all thought through. So yes, it is understandable that a young cat would do stupid things with a strict job as a medicine cat, as many young people make bad choices with the pressure on, though that doesn't change the fact that what she did was really dumb.
3) No. Leaf and Crow were irresponsible young adults driven by emotion and have not grown to really love each other beyond infatuation and lust.
4) At this point, yes. She has stopped pursuing her relationship with Crowfeather and focuses on her clan at the very least.
5) Yes. She cares for her clan well, has a good connection with StarClan, and a great knowledge of herbs. Nowadays she also plays the good cop to Jayfeather's bad cop when it comes to Alderheart. She is also kindhearted and compassionate and has been from the beginning.

1) Yes I love her
2) Yeah it’s kind of understandable since she felt like Brightheart was taking over her job and that she wasn’t needed anymore. For the second question don’t know what to say for that.
3) Yep it’s still one of my favorite ships
4) Don’t know since I haven’t read AVOS, but it feels like she’s alright
5) Yeah she’s a good medicine cat

1. She's okay.
2. I'm guessing that it does explain her running off with Crowfeather, because she's at the stage in her life where she's a young adult and learning which decisions are good or bad. And I don't think running off with Crowfeather forever would've been a good thing.
3. Nope. The sooner they dropped the forbidden relationship, the quicker the story could go on.
4. I think she's kind of matured.
5. As long as she's a very effective medicine cat, then yeah.

1) Do you like Leafpool? I despise her.
2) Is her running away from her Clan understandable? Should she have been with Crowfeather? Yes and no? She knew better, however the ship is cute.
3) Do you approve of Leaf x Crow? If they were regular warriors, I'd like it more. Instead, she ruined the lives of many cats because she nor Crowfeather could keep it in their pants.
4) How do you think she has developed as a character now? She's boring, still a horrible medicine cat.
5) Is she a good medicine cat? No. I think she lacks incredibly in the medical department, otherwise we wouldn't have so many deaths.

Let me just say that Spottedleaf confusing Leafpool about "following your heart" probably only made things worse. Leafpool was young, never felt love before, but she still did choose to be a medicine cat. She's not like the other medicine cats who were forced to become a medicine cat. Leafpool chose it. So in THAT sense, I feel like she was wrong to run away. But still, being with her true love was her one chance at being happy, so on THAT sense, I understand it. It only sucks because if Cinderpelt wasn't "destined" to die, Leafpool could have run away. 3) I do because I still see this pair as the soulmate kind. Crowfeather was meant to be with her, that's why his life is so sucky now. He's NOT with Leafpool, therefore his life back in Windclan sucks and he's forever unhappy. 4) I haven't really invested in AVOS much, but she's back as medicine cat, and she's clearly needed. Jayfeather clearly still respects her expertise. 5) She's a great medicine cat.
