I don't really understand. Is it because of that one time Rosepetal supported him when Dovewing snapped? Just because she helped him doesn't mean there's anything romantic going on between them. I personally don't ship Bumblestripe because he seems too clingy for me and can't seem to let go... though then again he respected Dovewing's choice about Tigerheart. I just don't think he's ready for a mate right now.

In BrS, Blossomfall was talking to Rosepetal saying how she knew that Dovewing and Bumblestripe wouldn't work out, and that she would put in a good word for Rosepetal.

Rosepetal is better than Dovewing. Bumblestripe deserved better. She is better. And also, Rosepetal isn't a weak twig like Dovewing is. She also respects Bumblestripe and spoke up against him being yelled at.

People don't want an Ashfur clone. Bumblestripe deserves better, and Rosepetal respects him far more than Dovewing. It also adds diversity to the gene pool. You might as well rename ThunderClan FireClan, because so many cats are related to Firestar.

People were actually worried Dust's line would die out because of Ivy and Dove. But I guess that's not a problem now. Well I mean, at least Ivy is loyal to ThunderClan. |

honestly, i don't think anybody really got anything to worry about in that department. dustpelt's got his paws in brightheart's line, brackenfur's line, thornclaw's line, cinderheart's line, squirrelflight's line, leafpool's line; the list goes on and on. even his own line is still continuing. so yeah, his direct line might die off sooner or later, but he'll still have some of his or his family's genes in thunderlclan for a long time after he dies.
