No debating allowed! You are able to express your opinion about Ivypool without expecting others to argue about your opinion! ^^ Not even me, I promise!
1) What is your opinion on Ivypool?
2) Do you think she is a well written character?
3) Did her jealousy feel forced to you, or did it seem natural?
4) Did she handle the situation about the Dark Forest with Dovewing right?
5) Has she matured since she stopped feeling jealous?
6) What do you think about Fern x Ivy?

1. ivypool is so badass and it amazing and i love her so much! she's such a great character. she's easy for users to reflect themsleves on and a lot of young can relate to her because, at that age, they really start to develop a grasp on the concept of rejection, just like ivypool. watching her mature and grow into the badass mama she is today has been so much fun; she'll always be one of my favorite characters.
2. as far as the writing in omen of the stars... ehh. she's one of the better written characters in that arc, but that's not saying a lot. in a vision of shadows? completely! i love my badass cat mama <3
3. it felt pretty natural to me. how could ivypool not be jealous of dovewing? she watched her have all that special treatment while she was basically ignored and overlooked.
4. well, was there a right way to handle it? she was only a kid when all of that happened and she did the best she could. i might be a bit biased here, but whatever. i think the smol bean did her best and that's what matters.
5. definitely.
6. i love that ship so much. yeah, it was shipped and i was really uset that ivypool wasn't the lesbian mama that fit my headcanon, but she can always be my bi baby c;

1) I like her, not originally at first, but I like her.
2) She was "okay" in OotS, I guess by default she is one of the better-written characters, but I think she's doing much better in AVoS.
3) It seemed natural, I mean her sister did "everything" better than her, and she was always compared to her sister, sadly. And then there's also how others would praise her sister all the time, even the senior warriors, and she'd get left behind. The DF also fed into her jealousy.
4) I think because she was so young, yeah it was okay.
5) I feel that once she was told the truth about Dove, and after she no longer trusted the DF cats, she started to mature.
6) I like it, I support it. They're both adults, in a healthy happy relationship. It's nice.

1. Great character. 2. She could have been written better, but that's not to say she's badly written. 3. Natural, of course. Dovewing was better than her at everything. 4. She should've told the three about the cats that were training, but at the same time, I can see why she didn't. 5. Yes, she started to mature around the end of Night Whispers. 6. Great ship. Cute, happy, healthy.

1) What is your opinion on Ivypool? I don't like her. She was very annoying in Omen of the Stars.
2) Do you think she is a well written character? No. She doesn't really have a personality. She's just bitter and physically strong and even then she's not that strong, because she couldn't even defeat Hawkfrost. After she patched things up with her sister she stopped being bitter, so now she has no personality.
3) Did her jealousy feel forced to you, or did it seem natural? I guess it made sense, but it didn't make her sympathetic to me because she didn't react to it in a way I enjoyed. I don't necessarily blame it all on her. It's the writing in general. The clan is suppose to be a community. She has two supposedly loving parents. Why did she feel so inferior? Was Hawkfrost really the only cat to praised her? It just doesn't make any sense. Sometimes I feel inferior too, but I recognize it's something I need to deal with, and not something I should be blaming other people for. Worse still I feel like this anger is what gets her admiration from the fandom (not the character's fault, but just a point I wanted to make)
4) Did she handle the situation about the Dark Forest with Dovewing right? No, but that's not necessarily bad. The writers just didn't handle it right. Honestly, Dovewing should not be responsible for her sister's feelings of inferiority. They're the same age. If Ivypool is feeling bad, it should be the business of her parents and mentor to make sure her emotional health isn't at a bad place.
5) Has she matured since she stopped feeling jealous? I'm not sure about this. Really I feel like at some point she realized the Dark Forest was awful and then she was neck deep in things and had more important things to worry about than jealously. Then she just sort of forgot about it.
6) What do you think about Fern x Ivy? I think if Ivypool were to be in a relationship, it's the only type that could work (if you want to assume she's not a stay in the nursery type character). Other than that, I have no feelings.

1. I didn't like her at first, but she grew on me.
2. Given the poor writing of OOTS, I'd say she's one of the better written characters of that arc. Therefore, I think was decently written.
3. It was definitely natural to me. I wouldn't blame her for feeling stuck in Dovewing's shadow.
4. She should've told the Three about the cats that were training, but I think she handled herself quite well despite rather young when it all happened.
5. Yes, she started to mature around the end of Night Whispers.
6. I don't like it. It's very forced.

1) What is your opinion on Ivypool? I really like her!
2) Do you think she is a well written character? She could have been handled better, but she was probably the best written character in Omen Of The Stars
3) Did her jealousy feel forced to you, or did it seem natural? It seemed pretty natural to me. If my sister were the obvious favorite who ditched me for the cool kids, I'd be jealous too
4) Did she handle the situation about the Dark Forest with Dovewing right? Not really, but she handled it. To be fair, it's not like this has really happened before, so how was she supposed to know?
5) Has she matured since she stopped feeling jealous? It's weird because I didn't really see her as... jealous a whole lot. Yeah she had her moments of jealousy, but after her realizing what the Dark Forest was, those moments became less frequent. Imo, the jealousy could have been far worse.
6) What do you think about Fern x Ivy? Fern's soft nature goes well with Ivypool's tougher one. I really like this ship

I don't have my computer atm so I can't write my long answers on why Ivypool is one of the greatest characters I've read in these books, so to sum it up.
An amazing, awesome character who has constantly gotten better and better each scene I read her in. I really really like this character.

1) Amazing. 2) Yes. 3) Seemed natural though a bit forced at times. 4) Yes. 5) Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes! I like her even more now actually because she's matured from feeling jealous. 6) Love it. Though Flipkit is a weird name, did he flip when he first was born? #FlipFlipthegymnast

1) I love her so dang much. She is real sacrifice and she loves her Clan so much. It's clearly evident and besides Hollyleaf, she should've been in the prophecy, because she and Jayfeather did a lot.
2) She is! She took herself from being a shadow to a pure, honorable hero. She has selfless qualities. She's such a badass in her own way and her fears drive her to be brave. She went through horrors no cat should face and he reaction and decisions were on point.
3) It seemed natural. Dovewing got way more than she deserved from the start, not to mention rubbing her success into Ivypool's face. Also, her minor jealousy got blown up by the DF, not to mention.
4) Yes, she was mature. Dovewing had no place scolding her like that and Ivypool (while she fought back) was more calm and collected about it. She even used Tigerheart's information to protect her sister.
5) Yes, she realized what was really important. The Clans' safety, her kin's safety, and her own.
6) She deserves a mate and kits more than anything. She is so cute with Fernsong and she's a great mother.

1. She's fine. I didn't really like her too much at first, but she's proved to be a better cat.
2. She's a real interesting character, I'll give her that.
3. Since she was younger at the time, I guess feeling jealous is natural. Jealousy is a rather believable flaw.
4. Half-and-half, honestly. On one hand, she could have done better. But on the other hand, I think she did the best she could.
5. I feel like she's matured ever since Omen Of The Stars.
6. It's fine. In a "She has a loving mate and kits. Good for her" kind of way.

It's what made me not care for her anymore lol. I always got kinda sad when people say this. It's like the person only focuses on how other people view something instead of viewing it in their own way. I mean, the fandom overestimates and overhypes Hollyleaf but that fact is not why I hardly care for her. It's because of her character and actions in my own views. Not that I'm judging, it's okay not to like a character because other people happen to relate to them and like them, it just always disheartens me a bit i guess.

Like, she had a right to feel jealous. Her and Dovewing were close as kits, and all of a sudden, Dovewing has to hide stuff from her which causes them to grow apart. Of course Ivypool would be jealous. 4) No. She was a bad spy because she didn't tell the group everything. And she also waited to tell them stuff too. 5) She has matured a bit since the jealousy phase. 6) FernxIvy is literal trash. it's forced. it doesnt need to exist. there's nothing to fernsong BUT ivypool. it's just horrible.

To hear that someone dislikes a character because others like them, it insinuates that the ones who like that character will be judged for it. It's why I'm not a fan of this "overrated" stuff. That's just negative and judgemental of people who just like a character alot. Ivypool is relateable and people like her for it. Same reason people like Hollyleaf yet hardly get any backlash for it? I find it a bit unfair I guess. Ivy and Holly are both good characters, but base it on your own perspective rather than focusing on other fans' opinions.

Oh I don't necessarily hate Ivypool; I like her as a character, I just don't like how she's written if that makes sense. I actually don't even truly hate most characters... except Scorchfur and Ashfur, both as characters themselves. I know most of them are both good cats, but I also judge them based on how they're written. AVOS has improved and I admit it's made me respect Ivy a lot more, but I still think she's just simply okay.

I might think she's written really well, but again that falls to perspective again, and relation. Ivypool was the only cat in OOTS that didn't make me want to hit a wall. And I hated POT, and even in AVOS she's still a consistent character. She doesn't fall back on her development like a ton of other cats have. I can totally respect those who do not like her, it's only the stigma that the fans of Ivypool can't like her without being seen negatively for it, that's all. Fans of other cats don't bother me, really. I only wish that was reciprocated.

1) What is your opinion on Ivypool?
I like her well enough. Not as much as I did when I was, like, 12, but she's fine.
2) Do you think she is a well written character?
Could be better, I guess, but so could all of OOTS. I think she is one of the better characters in that arc, though, and her plots were more interesting than the LionXCinder and TigerXDoveXBumble ones.
3) Did her jealousy feel forced to you, or did it seem natural?
I mean, it makes sense to be jealous when your sister gets special treatment. I think the situations that caused her to be jealous were a bit contrived, though. Like, why did Lion and Jay insist that Dove couldn't tell Ivy what was going on?
4) Did she handle the situation about the Dark Forest with Dovewing right?
I think she handled the DF scenario all right. She could have done better as a spy (I don't recall her actually sharing much information), but she did fight for the clans in the end. As for with Dovewing, she was pretty petty, but so was Dovewing. I'd say she was worse than Dovewing, though because she is the one who started most of their arguments from what I remember. I think she and Dovewing should have actually talked to each other about their feelings instead of yelling about their flaws.
5) Has she matured since she stopped feeling jealous?
I mean, her jealousy was her biggest flaw, so getting over it in itself is a sign of her maturation.
6) What do you think about Fern x Ivy?
It's pretty cute. ^.^
