I was just curious of everyone's opinion regarding the repetitions of prefixes and suffixes in warriors?
I have noticed since omen of the stars to the newest series arc (apprentice quest) that the Erin's aren't quite as original with names as they once were.
Examples??
Crowfeather (wc) Crowfrost (sc) Jayfeather (tc) Jayclaw (rc) Leaftail (wc) Leafpool (tc) Leafstar (skcl) Snowbush (tc) Snowbird (sc) Brackenfur (tc) Brackenpelt (rc)
It's not necessarily a big deal but Jay and Leaf have always been on the more unique side for prefix's so it's a bummer to see so many duplicates throughout the clans at the same time. Not to mention all these new names that don't flow very well (Podlight, Heronwing, Macgyver.... etc)
Let me know your thoughts!

I don't really mind it. As for the odd names, they don't bother me either. Besides, it's not like the early books never had their fair share of weird names.
Also, Macgyver isn't even a Clan name, it's his kittypet name which he kept. The name comes from a character from the show of the same name. It ran from the mid 80s to early 90s (it recently got a reboot in 2016), and Vicky used to watch it. It's supposed to be a tribute.

I know Macgyver isn't it just feels nontraditional ^^ Made me sad to see Millie and Daisy and multiple others reject a warrior name. They are crucial and vital parts of clan life and I would have loved to see what they would have been called!
As for weird names, I just got done re-reading all the arcs and I gotta say the newest ones definitely have a spin on names that the old arcs did not! But who is to say new is bad? They are just interesting ^^

Pretty sure there's nothing stating one HAS to receive a Warriors name jsyk. (Idk where the fandom got that it is, which really bugs me on the subject of Daisy and Millie when it's used for example as an excuse to hate them) It's just a norm. It may have ties to a previously kittypet/loner/rogue life but it's not an absolute requirement.

We always had a few repeating warrior prefixes even in the OS, that isn't really new.
Just look at Mudfur (RC) and Mudclaw (WC), Runningnose (ShC), Runningbrook (WC) and Runningwind (TC), Ashfoot (WC) and Ashkit/fur (TC), Blackclaw (RC) and Blackfoot/star (ShC), Cinderfur (ShC) and Cinderkit/paw/pelt (TC), Onewhisker/star (WC) and One-eye (TC), Whiteclaw (RC), Whitetail (WC), Whitethroat (ShC), and Whitestorm (TC), Graypool (RC) and Graystripe (TC), Snowbird (ShC) and Snowkit (TC), Tallstar (WC) and Tallpoppy (ShC).
What I have learned is that Shadowclan likes using the same prefixes as everyone else. That or Thunderclan likes to gives their kits the same prefixes as Shadowclan elders in the OS.
