Leafstar has always been one of my favorite cats, never mind one of my favorite leaders. I can understand the hate on her back then, but now? I wish I was as patient as her when ShadowClan took refuge in SkyClan. She's come a long way from being the naive cat she was when she first became leader, and it shows.
I'm sure Firestar and Sandstorm would be proud of her, and it's a real shame she never got to meet them again.

Imho I thought badly of her prior to AVOS. I thought she was a weak leader, and constantly making dumb decisions. I still believe that.
However since they have rejoined the Clans, she has really become a cat worth respecting. My opinion of her has changed for the better, and I now view her as a better leader than she had been before.

I never really thought of Leafstar as a bad leader. But when she managed to get SkyClan to the lake with the other Clans, I like how she's REALLY become a no-nonsense leader. I also like how she handles the ShadowClan cats in River Of Fire.

But actually, I think she's alright...She actually reminds me a little bit of Onestar. I loved when she finally moved Skyclan to the lake. SO really, I don't see why people don't like her.

Doesn't mean she's a bad leader... seriously hoping that isn't the reason because if people still judge her for that then thats really petty. |

I think maybe it's because her decision and her rules are a little more different from the other Clans. I find her okay though, she's more accepting than the other Clans. She lets the kittypets keep their names and let them go back to their owners at night. She treats everyone equally. I think some people might find it annoying though. i don't know.

I'm gonna guess all the Daylight-Warrior/Half-kittypet-half-Warrior names. Either way, that's a very bad and petty reason to call her a bad leader. Bad names do not make a bad leader. |

But seriously, you also have to keep in mind that Leafstar learned about Clan life from Firestar and Sandstorm in a very short amount of time, and that includes warrior ceremonies, where Firestar mostly just took the cat's original name and attached it to a suffix. She did the same. Most of the names she's given cats would fit in well with the Clans anyway. Even some of the names of her former Clanmates like Snookthorn and Ebonyclaw would fit (snook is a type of fish, and ebony is a color and a type of tree). Really, the only odd ones right now are Bellaleaf and Harrybrook, since the former's name is derived from her kittypet name, while the latter is named after Harry (who's real name was Sol) because he helped her get back to SkyClan when she was captured by Twolegs while pregnant. I guess you could also count MacGyver, but he kept his kittypet name anyway. |

And I knew ebony was a color, but I didn't know it was a kind of tree until just now. It's good to learn something new every day. |

The only reason those names are "weird" or OOC is because Leafstar is making a conscious effort to keep part of (in the case of former kittypets or daylight-warriors) the cat's previous name: Bellaleaf, Billystorm, Macgyver, etc. Leafstar did not make up the names Billy and Bella. They were previous names given to the cats by Twolegs. This is not poor naming, it's just very deliberately done to keep a part of the cat's past life. |

Back in her SE's she was imo intolerable, but as of AVoS, I guess loss has really improved her.
