I've noticed that sometimes people "bump" a post to make it stay on the front page for a longer amount of time. Iv'e seen it happen most in fan clan joining threads and polls. I was just wondering, is this allowed? If so, could I bump this thread right now?

Bumping is allowed, yes. As long as the person isn’t doing it constantly to the point where it’s considered spam, it should be fine.
If you were to bump this thread now, it would be pointless because it’s at the top of the board.
