I can't remember where I said this, but at one point I asked who was the best hunter in the Clan and nearly everyone picked Ivypool now that Sandstorm is gone. But have we really seen her hunt in the books? Has she ever been considered the best hunter in the books like how cats say Cloudtail is the best tracker and Sandstorm was the best hunter? Have we seen her bring back lots of prey? I'm genuinely confused because I do not remember this being mentioned in the books. I know cats respect Ivypool and have forgiven her for training in the Dark Forest but I really can't remember her being called the "best hunter".

I remember Alderheart (Alderkit at the time) stating that she was a good hunter in TAQ.

Wait, I thought that was Dovewing because of her powers, which was paired with Ivypool being the best fighter? Now I'm curious who is the best hunter/huntress now. I made a poll a few months back to who was the best hunter. People picked Ivypool. So it confused me and that's why I asked this. |

As much as I love Ivypool, I never pictured her as the best hunter. I do remember Cloudtail was the best tracker and Dovewing as best hunter over Ivypool until she lost her powers, but that's it. I vaguely recall Hollyleaf being called one of the best in TC, but it was Lionblaze saying it sometime in PO3 and he was bragging because he was proud of her, so don't know if that was true. |

Uhhhh I never saw Ivypool as the best hunter??? Even if I love her, it really doesn't cloud my judgement about other cats skills? Cloudtail was always a real good candidate, and Dovewing only because she had OP powers  it was probably Thornclaw or Spiderleg, honestly, and certainly Whitewing or Icecloud if it was in the snow besides Cloudtail. |

Because people love ivypool so much that they forget that in canon it is stated cloudtail and Sparkpelt are the best hunters in the clan and will do anything to talk about how great their waifu is. Excuse me she may be my waifu but I only pull that with my main man Littlecloud hmu |

I always thought that Sandstorm was a good hunter in a "telling" way while Cloudtail is a good hunter in the "showing and telling" way.

No, that was Brambleclaw who said that ("you're my little thinker" or something?), when she tried telling him about Ashfur and Lionblaze's aggressive training session. The scenes I'm thinking of were these: Both were in Outcast. The first when they snuck into the barn on the journey, and later, when tracking the rogues for the ambush. |
