Basically what Pixie said; I think while it's not obvious in the same way as Squirrelflight's or Jayfeather's development, it's definitely there.

I don't think she's matured much. She might mature down the road, but she's still got a bit to go.

I think so. People get angry at her for wanting to be a warrior as soon as possible, but she has been an apprentice for nearly a year. I think the fact she stayed put and thought along the lines on what is one more apprenticeship compared to the rest of my life here in ThunderClan? shows development. Also, while her name is iffy, I think that every word Bramblestar said about her is true. Comparing her to how she was in TaS, I definitely say there was development. That's not why we don't like her. We don't like her because of her clan hopping. Also another reason is that she complains when she doesn't get what she wants and when others scold her, if they do at all, she's sensitive about it and thinks everyone has backstabbed her. Even if we do dislike that she complains about not getting her warrior name, does she seriously expect for cats to worship her after betraying them, in a way? Twigbranch thought Sparkpelt was being too tough on her when she was right and cats can't just go anywhere as they please. She needed to pick a clan and stay there. When she was fed up with Sparkpelt she went to the Moonpool by herself - even ALDERHEART was angry with her for this! She got into very important business and a StarClan cat even scolded her that she didn't belong there. She also went to ShadowClan once again. While she had good intentions for it, she still went behind her mentor's back without permission. That's not maturity; that's immature, and shows she hasn't learned from last time when she was kidnapped there. Twigbranch doesn't learn. She may be a good cat at heart but she thinks she can get away with things when that's not how the real world works. Cats aren't even hard on her and the smallest criticism she gets the writing is dramatic and apparently they've sliced her heart. I'm sorry but I can't and will not tolerate someone who hasn't learned from their mistakes. I've tried to like and be patient with her but after sneaking to the Moonpool by herself just doesn't cut it. She's an adult by now. She should be more responsible.

I honestly don't know. She never really had a personality to me. She just wanted her family and then found out that she liked ThunderClan more. That's all fine, but I don't know if I'd all it maturing. I don't think figuring out where you belong necessarily requires maturity. Actually I was in a situation very similar to her when I was 4 years old and I managed to figure it out then. Make of that what you will.

I've tried to like and be patient with her but after sneaking to the Moonpool by herself just doesn't cut it. She's an adult by now. She should be more responsible. I am fully aware of the many reasons why people dislike Twigbranch. I never stated that was a reason why. I simply said "people get angry at her". I think Twigbranch's grown. Key words: I think. While yes, all the things you say are indeed true, she's more sturdy than she was in TaS. While the development isn't obvious or as character-shifting as say, Squirrelpaw to Squirrelflight, it's there. She's growing more self aware and resolved not to be jealous of the newly-made warriors of skyClan. Yes, Clan-hopping is annoying. However, there's nothing wrong with trying to find out where you belong. You could say she went about it the wrong way, but what way was there to go about it? Everyone thought she'd join SkyClan and stay there. It was always kin, kin, kin for Twigbranch, but I'm actually glad she rejoined ThunderClan. She's not a pushover and won't sit idly by. Spur-of-the-moment thoughts are spur-of-the-moment thoughts. It's not like she continued to think of these cats as traitorous. As revealed in DN, Lilyheart, Ivypool, and Alderheart, these "traitors" were what brought Twigbranch back to ThunderClan. She's on good terms with Sparkpelt now, too. The growth isn't mega, but I think it would be a lie to say she hasn't changed a bit.
