Berrynose's maturity

Absolutely, he has matured. Especially when we get scenes of him with his family. I remember just how strong and supportive he was when Cherry and Mole were assigned to run from clan to clan during the great battle with the Dark Forest. He consoles Poppyfrost's worries and proudly tells his kits that they're warriors that day.

He's shown on alot of patrols, and clearly does his work well. He is still brash and mouthy, but recently his inquiries have actually been understandable. He certainly didn't train in the Dark Forest like his brother did, which actually surprised but pleased me.

The care he shows for Poppyfrost is immense and genuine and makes me happy everytime it's shown. He was clearly in his kit's lives and cared deeply for them, compared to many toms in the clan that hardly are shown with their kits.

Is he super mature? Heck no. He wouldn't be Berrynose if he was. But has he matured from the start of his life? Absolutely.

Squirrelflight even shuts down Sparkkit's complaints of Whitewing and Berrynose and clearly describes that Sparkkit would be lucky to be mentored by those two. That in itself is pretty powerful, considering Squirrelflight's brutal honesty of others and how it was clear she and many cats used to consider him as an annoying furball.

he's turned bland like every other warrior in the clan but what's he done in recent memory to suggest he's mature? nothing. he's just doing what every other warrior should be doing at this point.

A shame, really. I want more activity with him ;.;
