With deep digging through the books I can say that it is official. Ashfur is related to Scourge
First we start out with Ashfur, then we go to his mother. Brindleface's sister is Frostfur, so then we go to Cinderpelt, Frostfur's daughter. We go on to Brightheart who is Cinderpelt's sister. Brightheart's mate is Cloudtail. Then lets go to Cloudtail's mother, Princess. Princess's mother is Nutmeg, who is mates with Jake. His first mate was Quince. And lastly, Quince's son is Scourge.
I can now say that Ashfur x Scourge is not canon even know it isn't in the books. It wouldn't be still possible for them to be shipped since they are related, and Ashfur was an apprentice when Scourge was almost full grown.
