Am I the only one that feels like this series was pretty pointless?
The only excuse for this from the Erins might be that they got so bad with the plot that they forgot that they should spare us the trouble and time skip. I'd rather not have read that series at all. There wasn't much in there that made you want to keep reading except for hope that the next series would be like the original.
Nothing was as good as the original.
I promise I mean this in the best way it could come across: not rude. I just didn't really appreciate the series at all.

I found PO3 pretty boring. I didn't like the idea of cats having powers since the series had stayed away from that before.

I agree that the series seemed pointless once we reached Sunrise, but I loved it. I can't really explain what I love about it. I guess the characters were actually deep in this arc, and they had real development. I feel that the Three (Holly not Dove) were honestly some of the best-written characters we've seen thus far. Long Shadows was an incredible book, but I was very let down that they had so much build-up only for Hollyleaf to not even be in the prophecy, and for us to not even know what the prophecy was really about.

I hate to admit it, but that was probably all true. Which is why it was such an utter let down when they cast Hollyleaf out and threw in the new cat. The character development was apparently clear, they just didn't do anything from that, really. Or if they did, the characters regressed later:(
