Do you believe that Onestar redeemed himself when he helped kill Darktail?

absolutely not. the mess with darktail just made his character even MORE horrible than he already was.

Not at all especially since the whole Darktail crisis was partly his fault to begin with and even if dying to take him out redeems him for Darktail it dosent make all the bad things he's done besides that any better.

Tricky question. I wouldn't say he should be remembered as a hero or as someone who "made up for his mistakes" at all. I do think that going down with Darktail was the best way he could have gone out, but that doesn't come close to cancelling out his "karma".

He made up for Darktail, but not for everything else. I don't care what pressure he was under, he was a major jerk and a wreck of a leader. I get that he had to take drastic measures to get a hold on his clan. I get that he still had a "good side" that he had to keep hidden most of the time. But how he went about it was... pathetic to say the least.
The only way I would have personally thought that he was redeemed is if he stepped down.

Only a tiny bit. Other than that, he's still a jerk in my eyes.

Big fat NO.
Onestar is my least favorite character, so nothing he could have done would have redeemed him.

I actually really really like Onestar for the reason that he buckled under pressure and really downgraded as a leader rather than got better. He really was not destined for the position and made selfish decisions, but I refuse to think he didn't love his clan. I think he did the right thing in the end and died getting rid of the monster he had created, and I forgive him.

Not in the slightest. Getting rid of a problem he created was a good start, but still not good enough.
