I tend to be overly meticulous at times so I was concerned that maybe I was adding too much to the group so it's encouraging to hear you actually like all the extra stuff ;v;~ JekyllYep, once you've sorted out mentors to each apprentice, you can simply PM me directly or even ping me here and Ill add it to the Clan page! Additionally, if you don't intend to hold rp-ceremonies for this, which is understandable since were just beginning and such, make sure to let the mentors/apprentices know who they've been matched with ovo
Also want to let you guys know as I'm a bit busy today, between on and offsite things, I personally may be a bit slow on responses until tomorrow! Thank you for your understanding ovo

Little meow meow Honestly, I do the same - I put more work into small things that are barely used just because I like them and because I'm a perfectionist. I really do love everything I've seen you put up. It's going to be a great roleplay!

foxstrideI totally understand that feeling. I mean I've joined a few clans around the site, mostly smaller ones and I couldn't help wanting to make my own simply because I just kept thinking of all these little ways things could be improved -- not implying anyone else wasn't doing well, I just ended up thinking about small things that could just be nice features to help keep things tidy or even just add to other people's experiences. Like a place to ask if anyone wanted to roleplay separate from the actual roleplay zone, including asking for certain roles to be filled and stuff. Additionally I like the idea of an OOC area which I sadly didnt see in the ones I joined because.. well.. I'm very shy lmfao I dont really have any friends on the site and thought well what if someone else was in my position? It'd be nice to have somewhere just to talk and get to know people more comfortably. So on and so forth. Sorry for rambling omg

That said, to any of you popping by, I'm up to some roleplaying anytime~ I Have Ashcloud and Featherpaw in Fernclan, and Both Longnose and Crowstep in Grassclan. Otherwise I tend to post random openings in the clan threads that any of ya'll are free to hopplepop into at will =v=~
mimikyutie Also I was interested in filling a potential role you had open as backstory with Briarclaw. I was considering making one more Fernclan warrior that, should you approve, could be a former apprentice -- Additionally they could leave with Briarclaw when Reedclans formation is underway, perhaps out of loyalty to Briarclaw. foxstride Sorry for double pinging, but it looking back at the things you were looking for with Thistlebreeze, I have two warriors in Grassclan, I wanted to know if you'd be interested in one of them being a former apprentice ovo |

Little meow meow I totally get you! I come from forums that aren't like this, that have all of those in separate topics and have plenty of possibilities for OOC communication, so I'm still getting used to how it's set up on here. Having this OOC thread has the same kind of feel for me - I struggle with knowing when to socialise, and don't like pushing myself socially because I never know if people want to talk. On mentoring, maybe Thistlebreeze could have mentored Crowstep? He would have been 18 moons by then, and their personalities seem to match a fair bit, so for a first time mentor it would have worked well.

foxstrideIt'd actually been 8+ years since I last roleplayed on an actual forum but I admit I'm moreso used to the format I believe you're talking about -- I actually feel incredibly nervous myself if I have no OOC interaction with the people I'm roleplaying with. I also like to think the OOC interaction helps strengthen the line between OOC and IC when you can actually talk to people normally as well. Alrighty, I'm super on board with that! I think Thistlebreeze would be a great mentor for Crowstep then ovo

Little meow meow Whoops, missed this. But yes, same! I prefer communication, because it solves so many issues in writing and plotting. I don't mind if others dislike talking for any personal reason, I just like the option at least! And yess, excellent. I've started off with Brackenpaw for now, but I'll throw up a Thistlebreeze open in GrassClan later on too. I'm loving interacting with Featherpaw

foxstrideHappens to the best of us, ahahaha! Oh man, same, it really is just nice to be able to talk out things with plots and such, helps avoid confusion and all. But ye, I understand that not everyone likes to talk OOC wise, but I prefer having the option just in case, also makes me feel less like I'm butting into other peoples stuff ;v; Always nice to be able to link up characters, develops more background and such! I look forward to seeing some Thistlebreeze up and about too, but I'm also enjoying interacting with Brackenpaw -- the different personalities between these apprentices is wonderful, hahaa <3

Little meow meow Yesss, agreed! Having the option and not making it mandatory seems the best, because it's more open and there's not so much pressure to it. And I totally get that - if there's an area for chatting, it feels so much more relaxed and means I'm not interpreting as much. Oh, definitely! I love connecting characters together. Thistlebreeze being super open for it means hopefully we have some more of that. He doesn't have to have kits, but hey, if somebody wants to make them, why not, right? Connections can really help with reasons to write cats together after all. They're such great near-opposites. The way they interact is wonderful. I could see her learning to at least nudge him when she gets up in the hope he'll wake up earlier and not get into trouble, maybe.

foxstrideMhm, and even if everyone doesnt join the OOC chat for casual talk, it still adds a layer of comfort to talk to a few members, gives it something of a "home-y" feeling I like to think. One connection is a start! Thistlebreeze may get a mate and kits yet, I mean theres lots of room for additional people in Grassclan and it's ramping up quite a number of apprentices ahaha ovo~ But I agree, it does help writing a cats story if some of the cats in said past are actively around -- Also helps with rping since there are cats your cat will know more closely as well <3 Brackenpaw so energetic and a real go-getter and then Featherpaw like man I wish I was still asleep LOLOLOL I do like it, though, it's a really cute set up! Poke the lazy butt, he might get up. Might. Or walk two feet and fall back a sleep, But he might get up ahahaha!

Little meow meow Agreed. Like, we may be the only ones talking now, but I think it shows some level of commitment as well if you have that open? Not that you're expecting people to talk, but it shows you're open to communication too. Definitely! I hope we see more connections fill up as we go along, it'll be great Yesss. Brackenpaw is probably going to be a thorn in his side with all her early rising and "wake UP, Featherpaw!". We'll see if he ends up begging to become a warrior to get away from her yet, heh. Maybe we'll have to do it sometime! Their poor denmates when they get some though...

foxstrideMhm, and to be honest, people who talk together often create more stable/meaningful roleplays in the future -- not to say not talking makes them less meaningful, I just find it easier to roleplay with and develop more in depth stories with people that ya grow closer with OOC. I mean, it's easier to interact with friends than it is strangers, easier to build bonds between OC's and such. At least thats how I feel ovo For example I would have been too shy to ask about Thistlebreeze and Crowstep if we hadn't been talking Ahahahaha;;; Same here, I know I have a friend who will be joining eventually so thats another person that could add to our ranks. And maybe some more random fellows will hope in and join. Could easily lead to more characters connecting to other characters in the long run. Let's be honest, if I thought I could successfully roleplay like ten cats, I'd do it for all of ya lmfao I'm 100% behind Brackenpaw pestering Featherpaw into a real warrior lolol The boy needs some motivation before he becomes an even lazier Ashcloud. Might as will be his polar opposite apprentice friend being all like wake up nerd /thrown into the sun. Their poor denmates will never know peace once they exist oh lawdy.

Little meow meow I agree! I find that it makes it more relaxing to ask for plots and connections when you're more likely not to feel ignored, really? But, I do come from game-specific forums instead of forums with lots of games on, so it might make a difference. And honestly, for anybody joining who isn't up to much speaking: please do approach me on any connections, you can send me a PM if it's easier, and we can work things out Ooh yes! That sounds great. I'd love to meet some more people on there too, and I'm always down for anything. I'm also open to creating more cats (I was thinking one per Clan, so I just need to think on two more prospective characters who can join the third and fourth Clans when they're ready to go) so everybody always has something to do. Oh god yes, I love it. Those poor denmates! Hey inky all good! Hope all is well and can't wait to write with you!

inky It's alright, I noted your signature and assumed you were just busy for a few days there, no harm done ovo I can't wait to see more of you soon! foxstride Agreed, I know I personally get super self-conscious over being ignored even by accident so I tend to avoid it, and in all honesty I'm more accustom to discussing things with a person before actually doing said things since I roleplay with my fiance pretty frequently. That's really clever! I may make one more in the long run since similarly, I've been trying to make sure I had at least one cat in each clan -- Currently Brambleclan is the only one I'm not positive on having a cat for. Since I'm somewhat a "moderator" for the group as a whole I also want to make it clear that I'm unbiased regarding the clans, easier to show when I'm in all of them ahahaha. And so Fernclan suffered the greatest evil to ever doom the forest; Two Apprentices LOLOLOL

Little meow meow Gah, my reply got swallowed. Sorry. Yes! Same. Communication is natural for me, and honestly I talk about plots and characters more than I actually roleplay, heh. Ooh nice, and I totally get you. It means you're always present and know what's going on in each of them as well, which can help guide people into plots and helping know what kinds of characters are needed, right? Accurate. Can't wait to see what their denmates think of them!

Of course, I can just peek in and read but it just feels nicer to fully engage with the entire community, if nothing else I can act as an extra if anyone wants me around lmfao. I tend to hang back and make sure everyone else gets to do their thing without being pressured into following my lead kekeke I'm excited to find out as well tbh ahahahaa~

Anyone paying attention here for updates! Letting ya'll know I might do some overhauling on descriptions (hopefully writing them better) and maybe toning back on how heavily implied Bramble and reedclan are (they're still happening but I need to put more focus on the now existing clans, wont be much fun if instead of investing in the current clans, everyone is just slugging through until they can join a different clan). I might also change how the areas those clans will be in are implemented such as making plausible some plot changes and such -- this may result in the Bramble and Reedclan territories to be rewritten as dangerous and difficult for the clans to make use of until plot. Additionally I've drawn a small territory map that I may be posting on the clan pages after I doodle up individual camp den locations as well. I don't have any fancy graphic making skills but I'll make the information worth being around for ;v; |

Little meow meow Haha, I have that with my SO! We haven't actually properly roleplayed in a few years now but we talk about it every few weeks or so. Two of my main partners do the same as well - the three of us talk about things way more than we post but hey, it all works out! Absolutely! I like that. You're hands on but not like,... not controlling, but not in control of everything, you know? It's nice to see moderators / creators in the thick of it and actively encouraging but not forcing.

foxstrideIt's so easy to spend more time talking and story building rather than roleplaying, so I totally get you! It'd been several months on my end but we recently managed to actually begin a roleplay, it was nice ahahhaa. Thank you ;v; Tbh, It's also more fun to see what people do without me telling them what they should do, I like seeing what stories and adventures people come up with in the grand scheme of things because in the end, even the prophecy is just a guide. It's up to everyone else to make it happen and choose what happens for that matter, I just gave an over all end goal. Heck, Most can even simply ignore it and go on with common place roleplaying.

I'd sooner that than have somebody explain something to me and have to wade through the murkiness of understanding situations - if I'm in the midst of it, it's much easier to get caught up!

Besides the whole point of this group was for everyone to have fun, not just me having fun by making everyone else do what I want. The prophecy may be a large plot based situation, but thats as far as I'm leading it, people can choose to be part of it or not. Everyone can make their own dramatic stories and relationships as long as its not like... blow up the clan worthy lmfao I'm simply entertained seeing what other people do and getting caught up in what THEY make.
