(I guess lol. Simon is definitely a lot different than he was with Madison in the last RP. But, then again, she had known him before the accident so he'd trusted her...)
Gavin's stomach growled and he shook his head. He didn't think those two would ever get along. It was nearly dinner time and he doubted his brother would be back in time so he headed down the hallway to the kitchen and made himself a large black forest ham sandwich. "Simon, I'm making food, you want anything?" He called up the back stairwell to his nephew.

Henry had Lydia direct the ground of men to the bodies she was keeping on ice. She could tell they were definitely odd, especially that two of the five girls had been in the middle of changing and it wasn't pretty. But other than that, the others were at various stages of having been eaten. One wasn't even recognizable. The alpha shook his head. "Any ideas as to what could have done this?" He asked the coroner. "Definitely a large wild animal, perhaps a bear or mountain lion." The dark-skinned woman replied, looking over the paperwork. Henry pulled the mutt aside. "What were your initial thoughts and findings on them?" Finnick spoke in an undertone, “I smelled another stray's scent on the one I found. It’s been a couple days since she was pronounced missing and they aren’t far apart from eachother's deaths.” He muttered, almost in a way akin to thinking aloud. “Is there a lake around here? Maybe a river?” Finn ventured.

(Yeah, he got attacked when he was older too so is only been a year since the attack had his brothers haha. He'll warm up to her... eventually at least. He's still really skittish of strangers)
Simon really didn't think he could keep anything down, not with how crazy his anxiety about the situation was, but he knew that if he didn't eat then his uncle would tell his father and then... well... he didn't want to be dragged down and forced to eat so he supposed this would do. He opened his door slowly, limping slowly, scowling down at the stairwell as he slid down them. "I guess I'll take whatever you make," He decided slowly, wrinkling his nose in distaste, only because he didn't think he could eat with a stranger in the house.

Henry bit the inside of his lip. "There is in fact. Greenville Lake. It's about four miles north of town, but still within the city limits. Why?"

"Black forest ham sandwich," Gavin replied, speaking with his mouth full. He was disgusting sometimes, but one just had to love and accept him. He was a lover and rarely a fighter so whenever he could slack off, he would.

Gavin chuckled. He'd known better than to offer his nephew the meat of the sandwich. He pushed the bread closer to the teenager and growled playfully as the finger tapped him in the nose. "You should know better than to touch me," the beta stuck out his tongue full of chewed ham just to annoy the boy. In order to avoid another bop in the nose, he backed away from the table, the other half of his sandwich in his right hand.

"Oh, I dare you, little one," Gavin sneered. "Be warned though, cause it's going to get you a noogie and a nice beating." He laughed, eyes shining. Of course he wouldn't actually lay a hand on his nephew other than the rubbing of the hair, he would however enjoy a bit of tactic training outside to show the little pipsqueak he meant business. He was not a pushover, Gavin, he just wanted to always have fun.

Henry bit the inside of his lip. "There is in fact. Greenville Lake. It's about four miles north of town, but still within the city limits. Why?"“They’re half dressed,” he noted. “And they’re all younger, the one I found seemed to be in good shape, and she was just off the trail some ways.” Finnick thought for a moment before continuing. “A camping trip, maybe? They could be connected... think we should check the area out. The stray might be targeting a specific area.”

The alpha sighed, looking troubled. Whether the mutt committing the crime was targeting women, it appeared that they were more of girls of opportunities. "As much as I'd rather not jump to conclusions, I think that it's too dangerous to stake out the place, he would scent us. For now, he doesn't know that we know." He cast a weary glance back at each of the girls. "I don't recognize any of them, which means they're either tourists or new to the area. Try to coordinate with Sheriff Carson. She is a kind, no-nonsense woman. She might be able to get you to see the police reports for them. For now, I'm not going to challenge this mutt. He has yet to bring one to our front door, but I wouldn't put it past him to do so. My pack nor I may trust you now, but we appreciate your effort to warn us. Not many mutts would do that for us." He dipped his head respectfully to the mutt which in turn would anger Nico, but Henry was alpha and he was required to treat others with indifference or respect. For now, this mutt was useful and he did not want to get on the wrong side of the mutt in case he was the real killer. "Nico, I know you're not going to like this, but go with him to visit the sheriff this evening. I need eyes and ears I have full confidence in to report back to me,"

The wolf shoved the sandwich down his throat in an effort to disgust the boy and swallowed a moment later, laughing at the kid's fighting spirit. "You're on!" He smiled, lunging toward the boy then as he retaliated, he whimpered playfully, heading out the back door to the patio.

Finnick was taken aback by the alpha's subtle nod. That was the last thing he’d expect, especially coming from him. Finn was so caught up in this, he almost missed the words that followed. He... didn’t trust him? Finnick was only made more surprised by the next bit of news; he’d be shadowed by the alpha's pup. He thought the word with some scorn, but shrugged it off. He looked at Nico, speaking quickly. “Look, I don’t like you and you don’t like me. Stay out of my way out there, and th8ngs will work out fine,” he said, turning on his heel immediately after. He lead the way from the morgue, headed in the direction of the station.

Henry was the type of man that didn't just give his trust out free of charge. Trust had to be earned, just as much as respect was. Respect always came first but the fact that Finnick was a mutt made the line of trust thin. He nodded his head in the direction of the door. "Sorry Nico, but you're still going to go with him. You have more experience dealing with Victoria. She may be quicker to trust you than the mutt. Call me when you've found something. I'll head back to StoneHaven."

Nico let out a loud groan when told that he would have to tail him still, but knew better than to actually argue, nodding slowly before jogging over to the mutt. "Look... uh.. Finn? The cops here are kinda weird. At least let me go with you to talk with them. " He offered half heartedly, rubbing the back of his neck, not looking happy about it but knowing he'd have to do this anyways. "My alphas not gonna let this one go, kid. BUt... hey... I can probably find someone closer to your age after this," He added, knowing Simon wound't be happy about this, but would still do what Henry told him to do.

Gavin stood in an open armed stance, legs spread and anchored as the young boy charged at him, slowly but surely. His smile was wide, but his jaw was clenched, serious. A playful growl rumbled from his throat. "I've got all day, squeaky," he taunted, tensing with anticipation.

The dark haired woman was walking from the break room into the small bullpen when she heard her name. A less than familiar face met her gaze as she turned towards the front receptionist desk. "I spoke to you this morning, didn't I young man? What can I do for you? I see you've brought Nicolai Danvers with you." A smile met her lips, but she wasn't as thrilled as one might suspect. She'd had a long day and she was ready to put in her time clock, but of course nothing ever worked out like that since she was the sheriff and ranger in town. She moved towards the front, her boots not making any noise on the carpet as she walked.

Finn turned to see Victoria, a bright, warm smile on his face. “Yes ma'am, you did. I was actually just telling my cousin about it,” he said with a small chuckle, motioning to Nico. “I have a few questions about a case I’m working on,” he said, “the one about the animal attacks on the girls.” He gave her a knowing look, innocent to most, but he expected she’d know how to look past this facade.

The smile on Victoria's face vanished as it was replaced by a sullen and tense expression. "Are you from an agency or do you represent the girls' families? I'm afraid I can't disclose any information without proper credentials."

The young woman sighed, not in the mood to argue. The difference being a small town police chief was she could technically make her own rules since they weren't regulated like a larger city or state precinct. Shaking her head and turned around and walked to a manila filing cabinet and opening it, rummaging through some case files. "To be honest, the cases are going cold. We have no leads other than the coroner thinks it's an animal attack. I've seen many strange cases in my day, but this is beyond weird." She replied, waving the two past the desk. She led them to the conference room, a small glass room off the main hall. "I've set up a board but with nothing to connect these girls, it's a dead end. Maybe you two will have better luck than us. I am by no means inviting you in on the case, officially anyway. More minds is better in this instance. Let me know if you come up with anything." She left the two with the small stacks of files before leaving the room.

The woman quickly poked her head out of the station door, calling softly after the two gentlemen. "I expect those back by the end of the week. Please refrain from writing on the official papers, but feel free to add notes on separate paper. Those are the only copies we have." She smiled at the end, letting them know she was trying to be nice about it. If her deputy found out that she'd given the only files to a stranger and a Danvers boy, he'd be furious; not that she cared about his feelings...
